Badly wounded, Farkas finds shelter in a homestead, and, while healing, makes friends with the homestead's owner and her daughter, Maelys and Bronwen. The latter one, though, is aloof at first, not least because of her physical constraints. What will happen when he meets Bronwen again, a few years after this incident?
