Well, it's about that time I get to that expanded profile I promised, eh?

Ok, here we go. My name is Ben. I'm a 16 year old junior with a lot of stuff to do and not quite enough time to get it done in. I'm a really serious athlete; I play basketball and run track/XC. I also have the oh-so-magical burden of crap that is homework, and I mean lots of homework. So, naturally, I have to use every bit of free time I have to do something really fun, right? Given that, I'm an unlikely candidate to be writing any kind of fanfiction. Heck, I'm not exactly a great candidate to even care about the Internet. And yet, still I'm here.

Fact is, even though I do everything I can to get the most out of life (Admittedly, that is a terrible way of phrasing that...) there's still a surprising amount of time left when I've got absolutely nothing to do. I used to spend almost all of that time with my beloved video games, and I still love to play them. Now I'm older, though, and I've let some of my childhood ideas for my own games grow into full-fledged storylines.

Thanks to that, I've managed to (inadvertently) allow many of them to reach a form that allows for them to be written down as a story. Since many of these stories are not completely original, and are set in the worlds of game series I enjoy, that opens up a whole slew of potential fanfics.

Out of the pile of game series I really enjoyed that I've allowed to become fanfics, you can pull Metroid, Fire Emblem, and even good ol' Pokémon. Most importantly, though, I absolutely, completely, totally love the Golden Sun series. Out of all the stories I've written, be they original or set in one of those games, none have ever been as complete in my mind as my own version of Golden Sun 3; the one on this site called War of Sages. It's gone through several different incarnations since I first thought of it, ranging from one set only 20 years after the end of TLA to the completely deviation from the original that was once posted on the old Nintendo NSider forums under my first screen name (RidFanOne). Eventually, though, it came to its current form, and I'm quite happy with it.
