I am a mother of two, in my forties, and have enjoyed writing stories for years, but never had the guts for anyone to read them. I majored in business and minored in English. Absolutely LOVE to read ... everything and anything ... as long as there's a good plot and decent spelling. Huge fan of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice - well, anything by her I enjoy reading - and now Twilight.

Currently don't have a Beta reader, so if anyone is interested or has any recommendations, please let me know.

Summer On A Wine Dark Sea is my first attempt at fan fiction and the first piece of writing that I'm willing to have others read (school writing assignments from twenty years back don't count).

UPDATE: A Happy 2016 to everyone! A new year and new opportunities and resolutions. So much has been on my plate this past year. There was a bit of RL drama and the accompanying frustration, but things are most definitely looking up. Throughout this time, even though I wasn't posting/updating SOAWDS, I managed some writing time here and there. The next four months will be a bit busy (I've returned to public accounting), but I'm determined to finish what I've started, and post my new stories. Also, my daughter has threatened to take away my iPad if I don't get my writing act together ;-)

So, hang tight ... I haven't given up on my story. To all that have taken the time out to read and review, thank you so much!
