[MAINFIC] Begins in the Summer of 2015. Reborn receives a Mission. Certain forces begin coming into play. The Underworld is running out of time, and the cause is rather unexpected. The solution? A Cleansing. The question is, which side will be Cleansed first?

Are there any works that I can skip/not read and still know whats going on?

yes. technically all you need to read is the [MAINFIC] piece. the major plot is more or less contained in that piece only. everything else is supplementary or just has history exploration.

on the otherhand, everything i put up has additional worldbuilding and i've been told it's pretty neat, so maybe read it anyway? 8)
