In her opinion, Isabelle McCallum didn't deserve community service. She did something illegal, but it wasn't wrong. Her conscience was clear until the probation worker was murdered. Now all she could do was make the best of the situation. Which would probably be easier if that curly-haired Irishman stopped annoying the shit out of her. When the world goes to shit Sam ends up with the two best people: Daryl and Merle Dixon. The unlikely trio survive until they find a group. As Sam and Daryl's friendship grows, they make unsaid choices. Will they fall in love? Die? Leave?

Sentiment doesn't really belong in Daryl's emotional vocabulary. There was no place for it as a child, and certainly no room now when the world's ended. So when the camp is invaded by an unusual intruder, it's all business with her as the camp's prisoner. Until she saves their lives and shows him up. Then it's personal. Longer summary inside! Liberty Dixon is the uber-smart, 13 yr old daughter of Merle, and niece of Daryl. She's just living the life of a fairly normal teenage girl, trying to get by with her drunken father and hard working uncle.
