Author has written 13 stories for Batman, Superman, and Batman Begins/Dark Knight. Hello FanFiction.Net!! The name's Rhadiox. I have found that I really don't like the way the Batman comics have been going as of late. Mostly I hate Damian, the smug little prick. So this is my AU. The first few of stories will give you a layout as to how this world is different. There are several AU's out there, and I enjoy a lot of them. But a lot of them put the characters in major OOC or make OC's. Don't fret fair readers, I shall do no nothing of the sort. The main Bat Clan will not be OOC and to make sure of such I have read every single comic up until last year. You guys better enjoy these stories for all the paper cuts and hand cramps I got. Each story will tell what is different in this AU, but here's what I'll start off with. The Bat Family consists of: Bruce Wayne – Batman Dick Grayson – Nightwing Tim Drake – Robin Cassandra Cain – Batgirl Barbara Gordon – Oracle Selina Kyle – Catwoman Alfred Pennyworth Ace the Bat Hound Isis - Miss Kitty Dr. Leslie Tompkins That's how it starts out at least. You'll see some elements from Batman:TAS, the Nolan Films, and the comics. No OC's will be created, however some characters will be OOC in some ways. The Bird's of Prey are active with the exception Huntress, who doesn't exist because I just really don't like her. The Outsiders, however, are not active because I'm not really comfortable writing about a group I honestly don't know much about. Honestly, I think Batman would keep the crime fighting within his 'family' instead of creating a new team of super heroes. He's very reluctant in letting people join the mission, as shown with Tim Drake when he first appeared. Most of the villains are the same. Some of the lesser known may become more prominent in some stories but everything's relatively the same with the Rogues. If you have further questions, feel free to send me a personal message. The characters have personalites already established: Bruce Wayne is like he was in B:TAS and the 1989 version, but Batman will be mostly like the comics and the games Arkham Asylum/City. Dick Grayson is as he was in the comics. Barbara Gordon is like she was in the comics and B:TAS. However, like in The Batman, she was the first of Batman's sidekicks. Tim Drake is like he was in the comics. Selina Kyle is a mixture of The Batman and B:TAS. Alfred will be like he was in The Batman. Cassandra Cain...well...um...not much else to go on other than the comics. Ace is definently OOC, but he's a dog so I don't want to hear it. Originally just a German Shepherd, now he's a German Shepherd / Rottwieler mix with some attitude. Isis, the companion to Catwoman, is under the same rules as Ace. She is the only cat in Wayne Manor due to the fact that Bruce and Alfred don't want cats just running around. Also, Tim is allergic. Alfred is a lot younger than most put him. Somewhere in his mid to late 50's. Tim's younger like he was in the animated series. I'd say about 13. Dick's in his early 20's and Babs is 4 years older. You make the call. Cassandra is somewhere around 16. Selina is 30 and Bruce is 34. Bruce has been Batman since he was 22 and Selina started being Catwoman at the age of 19. That's about where everyone is in age. Jason Todd, the second Robin. When he came back, he donned the Red Hood persona. I liked Jason's character, but his being the Red Hood, originally worn by the Joker, payed too much homage. The Joker killed Jason. Why would he want to honor the man that killed him by continuing his legacy. I would think that at first it was to get into Bruce's head. Two of his biggest mistakes coming back to haunt him. But when Bruce finally learned the truth, I would think that Jason would discard the Red Hood identity in favor of something more personal. I gave him the mantle of Red Robin because he died as a Robin and I would think it make more sense that he would eventually come back as one. It would also mess with the Bat Family because there would be another Robin; one that goes against everything they believe. The prodigal son returns, only to become one of your worst enemies. He also is a natural red head but dyed his hair to look more like the original Robin. The red now bleeds through some of the black. Stephanie is 'dead'. She died, not as Robin, but as Spoiler. Whose idea was that anyways? Anyway, she was never Robin in my AU. I'm not quite sure what 'dead' means yet, but I'll figure it out eventually. Jean-Paul Valley is dead. Not 'dead'. Just dead. He's not coming back. Period. Commisioner Jim Gordon looks like he did in the Nolan movies. His character is a mixture between the animated version and the Nolan version. To understand where I'm going with A Question for the Dark Knight, I'm going to be using inspiration from the awsome but short lived television series Birds of Prey. Those events will come later on and the main villain is not Harley Quinn. She goes by many names, but she is best known as the Joker's Daughter, the Card Queen, and Duela Dent. Beware the coming of Harlequin. Batman's costume is more that of Arkham Asylum. Nightwing looks like he does in the comics with med. length hair and that style of suit. Tim Drake's costume is more like the animated series. Cassandra's costume is actually Barbara's old costume. If you saw Batman & Robin, the Batgirl costume was dark and looked like armor. When Barbara first started out, all she did was use items from a costume shop. Her weapons were things like pepper spray and other common self defense items. It wasn't until she officially became part of the team that she got batarangs and a grapple gun, along with a new suit. When Cassandra first came on the scene, Batman and Robin needed help during a prison break at Blackgate. Nightwing was on the other side of the city, so noone was able to help. She put on Barbara's old outfit, the more modern one, and came to the rescue. Afterwards, she modified the cowl and costume to make it look kinda like it did in the comics. And that's what she looks like in costume. Jason's costume looks more like Dick's Nightwing costume from the animated series. It's got wings inbetween the arms and chest for gliding capabilities. The main suit looks like the Red Robin suit Tim wears now. Selina's costume is what it is now. The only difference with her is that she has long blonde hair like in Batman Returns and B:TAS. Her identity as Catwoman is hidden, only known to a few of the Batman Rogues. She was the one criminal the police could not cuff and bring into prison. She always slipped away after Batman left her with the cops. Her identity is as hidden just as well as Bruce's. I've officially broken up Harley and the Joker. She was too good for him and you all knew it. This will set up a series of events in later fics of mine. Joker will turn a lot darker and colder. It seems Harley was what kept him smiling after all. Harley's going solo now, only rooming with Ivy just because she has no where else to go. Justice League Lineup (Founding Roster): Batman : Bruce Wayne Superman : Kal-El / Clark Kent Wonder Woman : Princess Diana of Themyscira / Diana Prince Mercury : Henry 'Barry' Allen Green Lantern : Harold 'Hal' Jordan Martian Manhunter : J'onn J'onzz / John Jones Green Arrow : Oliver Queen Aquaman : Arthur Curry / Orin Other Notable Members: Green Lantern : John Stewart Cyborg : Victor Stone Black Canary : Dinah Lance Green Lantern : Kyle Rayner The Titans: Nightwing : Richard 'Dick' Grayson The Flash : Wally West Troia : Donna Troy Red Arrow : Roy Harper Lian Harper (Honorary Member) Power Girl : Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr New Inducties: Blue Beetle : Jaime Reyes Stargirl : Courtney Whitmore Young Justice: Red Tornado (Mentor) Aqualad : Kaldu'ahm Robin : Timothy 'Tim' Drake Speedy : Mia Dearden Superboy : Kon-El / Connor Kent Miss Martian : M'gann M'orzz / Megan Morse Kid Flash : Bart Allen Wondergirl : Cassandra Sandsmark Birds of Prey: Oracle : Barbara Gordon Black Canary : Dinah Lance Lady Blackhawk : Zinda Blake Batgirl : Cassandra Cain Supergirl : Kara Zor-El / Kara Kent Vixen : Mari Jiwe McCabe Katana : Tatsu Yamashiro Jade : Jennifer-Lynn Hayden Catwoman : Selina Kyle (Honorary Member) Dark Justice: Etrigan the Demon : Jason Blood Deadman : Boston Brand Raven : Rachel Roth Zatanna : Zatanna Zatara Captain Marvel : Billy Batson The Justice Society of America: Black Canary : Dinah Drake Lance Green Lantern : Alan Scott Ted Grant : Wildcat Doctor Mid-Night : Charles McNider Doctor Fate : Kent Nelson The Flash : Jay Garrick Hawkman : Carter Hall Sandman : Wesley Dodds The following is the Super Family. This is the standard model that won't be changed all that much. They will have more interactions in future fics and you'll see problems everyone has to go through as well as the abnormal problems. Just one big happy family. You will see some Superman comics mixed with the Smallville universe. Mostly it's due to one character. The Super Family consists of: Superman : Kal-El / Clark Kent Lois Lane-Kent : Sometimes referred to jokingly as Superwoman. Martha and Jonathan Kent Krypto the Superdog Powergirl : Kara Zor-L / Karen Starr Superboy : Connor Kent / Kon-El Supergirl : Kara Zor-El / Linda Lang Watchtower : Chloe Sullivan / Vicki Vale The family is set, but may be changed if something happens. Superman is really what ties them all together. Lois Lane is the wife of Clark Kent (sorry SMWW fans) and they are happily married. Martha and Jonathan are not too old. Think of slightly older versions of the Smallville Kents. Krypto is actually the third dog to have that title. He's pretty much a dog in everyway...except he has superpowers. Eh, what can you do? Powergirl, while not truely a member of the family as she is from a different dimension, is still the cousin of Superman. Superman of Earth 2 that is. Though she doesn't wear the family crest or isn't really part of the house of El in the modern continuity, Clark still views her as family and she's welcomed with open arms at the Kent's dinner table. Superboy is the genetic clone of Superman and...well if you don't know, I'm not going to ruin it for you. Read Superman/Batman issue #7 or something that tells you. That was where I first learned. Superman is still nervous around him, and still hasn't really gotten over the effect of having a 'son'. Superboy is living in Smallville with the Kent's and Krypto is his companion. He is also Tim Drake's best friend and is dating Miss Martian. Supergirl is the newest edition to the family. She is the only true blood relative to Superman. She's his cousin and is still getting accustomed with normal life on Earth. She and Superboy have created an almost sibling bond, and with that bond comes sibling rivalry. They fight over a lot of things and get on each others nerves, but in the end they are family. She is now dating Tim Drake for those of you who haven't read my story Robin's Little Girlfriend. Chloe Sullivan is an childhood friend of Clark's from his days growing up in Smallville. She is a past love interest to Oliver Queen and Bruce Wayne and is a member of the Justice League as a monitor of the Watchtower. She does monitor duty and is a global version of Oracle, but not as good. She monitors and coordinates more than hacking and gathering information. Chloe is the cousin of Lois Lane. She has taken up the identity of Vicki Vale due to Identity Crisis. The Wonder Family is pretty small actually when you list out the prominent members. But you could argue the entire Amazon population is a family. The Wonder Family consists of: Wonder Woman : Princess Diana of Themyscira / Diana Prince Troia : Donna Troy Hippolyta Hades Wonder Girl : Cassandra Sandsmark I have to say this is a messed up family. Everyone knows who Wonder Woman is and here's how it's set up in my AU. Hippolyta is Queen of the Amazons on the island of Themyscira. She and Hades, God of the Dead and Ruler of the Underworld, are the parents of Wonder Woman. I know it was never said in the comics who Diana's real father is, but for all purposes I'm going with the Animated Universe version. Hades is sealed up in Hell because he's a jerk. Donna Troy is the adopted daughter of Hippolyta, which makes her the adopted sister of Diana. Cassandra is the odd one. She actually has no relation to the others. That's the basics. The Arrow Family is kind of like the Bat Family. Almost all of them have no powers and instead use gadgets. However most of their gadgets are in the form of trick arrows. The Arrow Family consists of: Green Arrow : Oliver 'Ollie' Queen Black Canary : Dinah Lance Queen Green Arrow : Connor Hawke (works mainly outside of Star City) Red Arrow : Roy Harper Lian Harper Speedy : Mia Dearden This is a family not unlike the Batman's. Oliver is the leader and is married to Dinah. Dinah is best friends with Barbara Gordon. Connor Hawke is the biological son of Oliver and a past love interest. He uses the name Green Arrow but works abroad. Roy Harper was the first Speedy and is the father of Lian Harper. LIAN IS NOT DEAD! EVERYONE GO YAY! Lian is about four years old here. Roy did however get his arm cut off. Nightwing rushed in at the last second after he heard about what was happening in Star City. He teleported via the JLA teleporter and arrived just in time to save Lian from getting crushed. Lian sees Dick as an Uncle, as he is one of Roy's closest friends. Speedy is one of the only HIV comic book characters known. She's now Oliver's sidekick and usually Lian's babysitter. The Flash Family is a group of speedsters. I love 'em. Most of them are cocky and headstrong but are valued heroes in the DC world. I however will only focus on a portion as it is a rather large family. The Flash Family consists of: The Flash (Retired) : Jay Garrick Mercury : Barry Allen Iris West Allen The Flash : Wally West Linda Park-West Kid Flash : Bart Allen Impulse : Iris West Those are the ones that will be mainly focused on; however, that could change. Jay Garrick was the original Flash back in the Golden Age. He has since retired from speeding along and is now a mentor to younger speedsters. Currently he is working with the new Impulse, Iris West, who is the daughter of Wally West and his wife Linda Park-West. Impulse is five years old. Wally West was Kid Flash and good friends with Dick Grayson and Roy Harper. He became the new Scarlet Speedster when Barry vanished, and is most likely the fastest man alive. However with the return of Barry, there may be some debate on who's faster. Barry has returned and has officially relinquished the title of the Flash to Wally. He now goes by the name Mercury, in homage to Max Mercury. His costume resembles his own Flash outfit, but is now blue as tribute to Max Mercury and the gold is now silver. Barry is married to Iris West-Allen, who is the aunt of Wally West. Bart has been given the mantle of Kid Flash and is close friends with Robin and Superboy. He is also the grandson of Barry Allen, who arrived here from the future. They work as a family and those that are connected to the Speed Force work together as a team. Each Speedster also have superhigh metabolisms and almost every second, one of them is hungry. The Bat Clan has several vehicles they use to get around. Each is used for a different situation. Each falls into the following catagories. Ground Vehicles Batmobile: A prototype military vehicle redesigned to look more sporty and menacing. It's an agressive looking design, that looks like a mixture between the car from Arkham Asylum and the Tim Burton version. Has an escape pod that can be used incase of emergencies. Can be converted to travel on snowy terrain. Bat Tank: Another prototype military vehicle used as a mobile command center and passenger vehicle. A computer system in the back is hooked up to the Batcave and the Clocktower computers. It has enough room to carry the the entire team. Can be converted to travel on snowy terrain. Redbird: A modified ATV used by Robin. Batcycle: A customized superbike used by Batgirl. Catcycle: Similar to the Batcycle except with a cat motif. Nightcycle: Changed the name of Nightwing's bike. A built from scratch motorcycle used by Nightwing. Air Vehicles Batwing I: A prototype multi-role fighter jet. Holds a crew of two. Resembles a bat. Can vertically takeoff. Batwing II: A personel carrier for the whole team. Designed to outrun missiles and to be invisible to all forms of radar. Resembles a Bat. Can vertically takeoff. Batcopter: A rescue copter used in emergency situations such as natural disasters. Water Vehicles Batboat: A highspeed boat that was created to go behind enemy lines undetected. Can submerge to become submarine. Holds up to two people. Batsub: A recon vehicle used for underwater missions. Can hold all team members. |
