I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things... I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. ~Leo Buscaglia Back in 2002, I was introduced to fan-fiction during my freshman year of college by my best friend and college roommate. In 2003, I took my first shot at writing fanfiction and continued writing on and off until 2007. In 2007, I stopped due to a lot of different reasons: lack of interest, real life, a bad break-up, personal family issues. In short, I fell out of love with writing. I kept writing little drabbles and little emo posts to my real life journal but I abandoned many of my main fanfiction stories right on. To be completely honest I'm not sure if they will ever get finished. I'm in a different time, a different place, your writing style changes and evolves, etc, etc. One thing through all the strife and basic growing pains I did keep doing was reading fanfiction. I wasn't able to write but I kept reading and in doing so have discovered so many new and wonderful fandoms such as TMNT, Leverage, Dr. Who, Supernatural, & Being Human. This is my first venture in starting to write fanfiction again. I can't make any promises on finishing things but for me it's the start of some creative healing. I primarily wrote for 'The Magnificent Seven' Fandom before and you can discover my earlier unfinished work here: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/389192/cole1 (Fair warning about profound and utter badness in some parts. LOL). Constructive Feedback is always welcome as are betas. |
