Author has written 1 story for Naruto, and Legend of Korra. About me: I'm a college student and have always enjoyed reading fanfiction, and have recently started writing my own. Favorite Anime/manga: Naruto Bleach Kenichi Fate Stay Night Infinite Stratos Fairy Tail Favorite Movies: The Avengers (Most epic film EVER! Thank you, Joss Whedon!) The Dark Knight/The Dark Knight Rises Star Trek (2009) (Come on, Trekkies, just be thankful that JJ Abrams ressurected the Star Trek series.) Avatar (I don't think I really need to explain this one) Inception Boondock Saints Favorite Books: Hard Magic by Larry Correia (Hard magic is one of the best books I've ever read, I'm honestly surprised that it's not more popular. One concept, people, Magic in the 1930's! The best part is, he makes it work!) Pretty much anything by Larry Correia (Sure, he's a right-wing gunnut, and I don't think I'd agree with him on anything political, but he is still one of the best authors I have ever read) Gridlinked by Neal Asher The Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher Favorite Games: Mass Effect trilogy Batman: Arkham City Assassins Creed (Can't wait for ACIII!!!) Zelda Favorite TV Shows: The Daily Show Futurama (So glad it's back!) The Big Bang Theory Family Guy/ Cleveland Show/ American Dad (I'm counting these three as one) Scrubs Firefly Farscape Star Trek: DS9 (This one surprised me) Favorite Music/songs: I'm pretty open, genre-wise: I'm willing to listen to just about anything- but the songs I like the most are ones that have meaningful lyrics. Here are some of my favorites; The Devil To Pay, Hold At All Cost, and High Water Mark by Iced Earth (Seriously, listen to these songs -or at least look at the lyrics- look me in the digital eye, and tell me they are not EPIC!) Frontline By Pillar Heroes, One Day Too Late, by Skillet Waterloo by Iced Earth Citizen Soldier by 3 Doors Down Europa by Globus Declaration Day by Iced Earth
Character Bashing: I don't know about you, but I have come to hate hate HATE character bashing! Here's why: originally, it was somewhat interesting, and actually had some great story potential, like in Harry Potter, where the most universally beloved man in the world is in truth a master manipulator that could give any of the other villians a run for their money, but now, most fics that have character bashing take a character that could have a great oppertunity for personal growth or development, and just degrades them to bland, 2-dimensional caricatures that are difficult to even really dislike (I have found this to be especially true with Sasuke and Sakura bashing). I'm sorry if this is too long, but I really hate bashing. Hyuugacest: I don't get this theory at all. While I do agree that the clan structure the Hyuugas appear to be based on are historically known for inbreeding to 'keep the bloodline pure,' I haven't seen any evidence that the Hyuuga clan actually practices this. Another argument I've seen is that all the Hyuugas in the series look like each other, which admittedly makes a certain amount of sense, but think about the Hyuuga characters we've seen so far aside from Hinata; Hanabi, Hiashi, Neji, and (to a lesser extent) Hizashi, all members of Hinata's immediate family, so it would actually be more unusual if they didn't look like her. Using some form of the word 'jutsu' to set up a flashback: This is one of my major problems with a lot of Naruto fics. It's a small thing, but I like to be able to immerse myself in what I read, and something like this just completely shatters that immersion for me. Bonding too quickly: Perhaps I should explain this one. I dislike fics that have characters who have never even met each other before a certain moment in the story suddenly developing a deep, meaningful relationship with each other (not necessarily a romantic one) within a few paragraphs. It just isn't realistic. Favorite Pairng(s): Naruto: Naruto: As long as it is well-written, I enjoy any Naruto pairing (as long as it's not with another male or his relatives), but there are a few I'm more partial to (in no particular order) : NarutoXSakura (I like the idea of a character winning the love and affection of a person they've liked for years, and I could easily see interpretations of Sakura that have a more Tsundere vibe to them) NarutoXHinata (Same as the first part above; bonus points for the second part) NarutoXIno (I've read one or two stories that write this pairing extremely well) NarutoXHana (I find this one interesting as Hana is just old enough to toe that line between knowing about the kyuubi and being just as oblivious as the others in Naruto's generation. Plus, she might have only appeared for a few seconds in the series, but you know, she's hot) NarutoXAnko (If there is any non-jinchuuriki that could understand what Naruto has gone through, it's probably Anko. And aside from her sadism, they act so much like each other that I'm honestly stumped as to why they haven't interacted with one another more (seriously remeber Sakura's first thoughts when Anko made her big debut, "She reminds me of Naruto!?")) NarutoXHarem (Frankly, I believe Naruto's life has been so bad (even without the fan-concepts of multiple beatings), he deserves it. However, I do not enjoy harem fics where Naruto winds up in a consensual, polygamus relationship with every single person who has breasts in the series) Finally, I truly enjoy Naruto pairings (or any pairng) that are nonconventional in either cannon or fannon. For example, pairings such as NarutoXTemari, or with an older woman who's age has been regressed, like NarutoXYoung!Kurenai (Has there ever been a fic with this pairing?) Favorite Fanfictions: Although I have a favorites section, there are a few stories I've read that particularly stand out Fight for the Lost by Luxdragon (Best fanfic novelization ever!) A Protector's Pride by NeoRyu777 (One of the only Bleach fanfics that I have ever truly enjoyed) Legacy of the Rasengan by Tellemicus Sundance, Better Left Unsaid by Kenchi618 (These two are masters of the rewrite genre, I can only hope to one day equal them) Gundam Seed:Valkyrie's Run by Dragoon Swordsman (Again, another great rewrite, and one of the few stories with OC's that rock) A New World, the Story of a Lost Shinobi by Lanky Nathan (One of the few crossovers I've ever read that I reread again and again) Team 8 by S'TarKan (It may be dead, but it's hard to dislike one of the fics that introduced you to fanfiction in general, and besides, the reviews don't lie!) Favorite Quotes: Right and wrong are defined by what you do, not by what you serve. - The Cynic's Book of Wisdom Never judge a moral code by the behavior of those who don't fully comply with it. -unknown The roots of violence: Wealth without work, Pleasure without conscience, Knowledge without character, Commerce without morality, Science without humanity, Worship without sacrifice, Politics without principles.- Mahatma Gandhi You know, Purvis, I've never gotten into a gunfight and said afterwards, "Damn, I wish I hadn't brought all that extra ammo." - Hard Magic by Larry Correia I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather.
