We needed to ease the pain. We needed something that made everything worth it. We found love. We found humor. We found all these things that made us happy and, even if only briefly, made us forget all the hard stuff.

I've been writing on this site since 2006, left for three years, and decided to come back with a fresh start. I don't know why I've been gone for so long, but I'm glad to be back.
