Darcy never gets a chance to deliver his letter, as Elizabeth is recalled to Longbourne the very morning after his disastrous proposal. The Bennets are in a precarious position, but Darcy has a solution. Will Elizabeth save her family at the expense of her own happiness? This is a variation on the marriage before love narrative. After an unfortunate carriage accident, Elizabeth Bennet becomes separated from her family. She eventually finds herself working as a servant in Derbyshire. While working as a chambermaid, Elizabeth is able to help Fitzwilliam Darcy, who has suffered a severe trauma. Note: this story contains references to sexual assault.

Margaret receives a letter from Mr Bell that throws her into despair. She is forced make a choice that wasn't meant to be hers, but the consequences are not hers alone to deal with.

There is a word that exposes the very soul of John Thorntons relationship with Margaret Hale. One word which defines their love, their life, and their desperate pursuit of one for the other. One word that ties together each shared moment, and embodies every aspect of a battle not so easily won: Suppression.

A second glance at Elizabeth, and Darcy felt an immediate pull. In a library one evening, his guard dropped, and he couldn't help himself. It was not a lady's imagination that led a rapid jump from admiration to matrimony skipping over love, but it was rather the heated actions of both. What if Elizabeth had overheard the conversation about herself and her family while she was staying at Netherfield? How might her reactions and the outcomes change if she knows early on Darcy admires her eyes and Bingley's family is opposed to Jane? Regency setting, multi-chapter story, WIP. Rated T to be safe.

Both Margaret's Mother and Father have passed away. Her Aunt is still in Italy and her Cousin in Greece. She is left all alone in Milton. How will Thornton rescue her, and will she inadvertantly rescue him in return?

As suggested in the title of Jane Austen's original work, Darcy's greatest failing is pride. His passionate love for Elizabeth only mitigates this character flaw, resulting in the awful proposal at Hunsford. If happenstance forced Darcy to marry Elizabeth before he loved her, or even knew her at all, would he ever be able to get past his pride to recognise his fortune?

After Mr. Hale's passing, Margaret has to spend a week at the Thorntons while Mr. Bell arranges for her to move to London. She's uncomfortable at the idea of spending time with Mr. Thornton after everything that happened between them, and they soon find themselves in a compromising situation.

Margaret finds Mr. Thornton after their confrontation at the exhibition allowing them to develop a tentative post-proposal friendship. Will their relationship be strong enough to overcome the heartache and deceit that is to come? Both book and mini-series based.

Dr. Bennet, Lady Catherine's personal physician, has brought his family to live in the shadow of Rosings park to benefit from the attentions of his patroness. Headstrong Elizabeth seems to thwart the great lady at every turn, but for the sake of Anne, Elizabeth is forgiven–until she refuses to turn her back on Mr. Darcy.

While he is visiting the Hales, Mr. Thornton and Margaret have an unexpected conversation. Will this change their relationship as events in Milton unfold?

"There?" he whispers in her ear and, sure enough, he feels her grip tighten. - COMPLETE! -

What if Darcy hadn't said, "She is tolerable." What if instead he had said...

After Mr. Hale's death, Mr. Bell plans the funeral in Oxford. Margaret cannot bear not saying goodbye to her father, and must ask Mr. Thornton if he will allow her to accompany him to the funeral. Book Based for the most part.

Not being able to breath the air at Longbourn after Mr. Collins' longwinded and insincere proposal, Elizabeth heads for the woods where she runs into an injured Mr. Darcy.

There were plenty of opportunities for Margaret and Thornton to have gotten together earlier. Shall we explore each one?
