Hey everyone!

A bit about me: I've had this account for over 10 years now (eesh how did that happen???), so please excuse some of the embarrassing cheesiness of my older stuff.

I'm female, just turned 30. I came to China 4 years ago with a fresh MA in Applied Linguistics. (That means I love dialog between characters when it's really in character.) I've been really really work-focused the past few years, and I now manage a team of English teachers. I'm pretty good at editing prose, narrative, and especially dialog. :D

I tend to stick to a few basic fandoms, like Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, and now Critical Role (Dungeons and Dragons). Who knows what I'll add to my repertoire down the road.

Other Notes about me and my writing style:

My style has changed a few times in the past several years, as has my opinion on "what kind of writer" I want to be. Sorry for the whiplash; I guess you could say I've been figuring myself out.

I love little snapshot moments where we get to see characters or character relationships defined. A lot of my stories and vignettes and drabbles start out as a single line floating around in my mind, which I then expand into a whole situation. I call them "idea nuggets."

I enjoy writing "whumping" stories, as I've heard it put, so there's a pretty good chance that a lot of what I write will be in that genre.

I've decided that the reason Kakashi wears a mask has to do with a tattoo on his jaw-line. I think it's his clan symbol, and I think he started wearing the mask when his father committed suicide, and by the time he quit hating his father, he'd grown rather fond of the mask. No, there's no real basis for this tattoo idea in the actual Naruto universe, but my imagination likes it. The symbol is my avatar/image. I drew it at work.

I'm a bit ADD I think when it comes to my longer fics. I have several collections going, because the muse goes where the muse wants. It's not unusual for me to post something every few days when I get in the right mindset, though whatever I post may or may not be what people are waiting on. And that mindset (and the time to actually write) can take a while to find. (In the case of my more popular stuff: sometimes years. Apologies for that.)
