Their lives are about to change drastically. This is my interpretation of what happened at the concert in the park and everything after.

Meredith Grey was no angel; in fact she was quite the opposite depending on who you might ask for an opinion of her personality. She remained closed off as friendships and relationships were just road bumps getting in the way of her prestigious career However her views on life begin to change once the feisty blonde begins fooling around with the head of neurosurgery

Some would call it fate, others divine providence, but if it intervenes at just the right moment it can drastically alter the course of a person's life. If Meredith had been more resistant to her mother's negative opinion of her and if she had met Derek before he was married to Addison or even engaged to her, it would have changed everything.

"She's standing in front of him, hands on her hips, hair still damp and wavy from showering, but her eyes have brightened up a little bit. His shirt is too big for her but she's tucked it in his sweatpants, and he wonders if his clothes will smell like her when he gets them back. "Okay," he smiles. What she hated more was how easily Nathan got under her skin. One minute she hated him and the next her thoughts were anything but hate. It scared her in ways that she couldn't explain and it made her wonder if there was a point in which she could move on.

Nathan didn't expect for Meredith to kiss him. Just like he didn't expect to like it the way he had, to feel the burn of his body instantly, the way she just ignited something inside of him that he couldn't even process as he backed her into her car. or what happened in the car during 12x23.

Meredith finally decides to be happy and give Nathan a try - but after holding off for so long, can she finally let her walls fall? Takes off after 13x21.
