Poll: I have a pretty darn awesome partial SYOT in mind (yes, I'm doing that too) which I would like to start as soon as possible. When should I start it? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 8 stories for Hunger Games, and Yandere Simulator. Winter. INFP, Ravenpuff, Thunderbird, Child Of Apollo, District 3, she/her A bit slow on the uptake, but means well Do you like water? Then you already like 70% of me! I apparently have a tumblr now: winters - writing . tumblr . com Currently reading:Les Misérables by Victor Hugo Currently watching: A Series Of Unfortunate Events (Netflix adaptation) Currently listening to: American Idiot by Green Day (the album) My name is Winter! I'm an ambivert who loves writing! I'm not too good at it, but I try my best. I'm a very awkward person both in real life and online, so I'm usually not one to start a conversation unless it's an SYOT submission or important information. I love fanfiction, and while my social life is down the toilet, it's worth it! Though I'm a cisgender female, I have still been mistaken for a boy approximately 3,412 times. Is it the hair? The pants? The lack of a figure? No one knows! I'm considered weird amongst my peers at school, but since I mainly interact with others in the gifted program I was accepted into, they're nerds too, which is great! I play the lamest instrument ever, the clarinet, and I have two professional opinions: I suck at clarinet-playing! I basically act like a normal crazy teenager, albeit with better taste in music and a love of poetry and prose. A Sad, Lonely Pit Of Despair also known as my update "schedule" I am currently working on Reality Resurrection, I have completed two and a half out of four, maybe five POVs needed. Fantasies Swept Away will be worked on after the latest RR chapter is up. Everything else will be updated sporadically. I hope to finish one of my major projects by the end of the Possible Future Projects (subject to change): Borrowed Time: The 38th Hunger Games: As tensions in Panem heat up, it is up to everyone involved in the Games to tie the nation together, as it might spell doom for them. Cadenza: The 123rd Hunger Games: One hundred years after Moon Skies, Head Gamemaker Cadence Lucian wishes to prove that the creative spirit her Gamemaking ancestors were known for has not disappeared for good. A partial SYOT. Reality Resurrection: Two Good To Be True: The second season of Panem's hottest Games-esque reality show, with a new crop of dynamic All-Stars! A Series Of Honest Events: The true tale of the Baudelaire orphans, told from the perspective of them rather than Snicket's unreliable and likely biased narrating. Awesome people (bold and with description indicates people I know in real life) Lolsy - Lolsy is probably the reason I'm not off crying in a hole somewhere about high school. Seriously, she's so supportive and caring that her supportive and caring-ness could power 10000000000 nuclear missiles! She was the first of my friends to actually take my ranting about FF.N seriously, and made an account! She has a great sense of humour as well! Check her out, she is awesome! Devils - Okay, the first time I saw Devils, I was thinking, This girl looks cool. And against all the odds, I became friends with her! She, like Lolsy, actually had an interest in fanfiction. I will never forget the time when she read "Hogwarts School Of Prayers And Miracles" to our group during lunchtime, or the many rants we had about Twilight. She could probably take over the world if she wanted to! Rabbit - Despite her VERY questionable tastes in music, Rabbit is pretty cool. She is the Otaku Queen of our grade, and that isn't a bad thing. I don't know how she does it, but she balances being calm and capable and studious and future dux material with being a hardcore fan of anime and manga! It's a scientific impossibility, but somehow she manages it! She's fun to be around, despite her ALWAYS using me as an armrest. I can't help being short! And Green Day IS better than K-pop! Cato - Cato is legit one of the coolest people I know, to the point where I actually had a crush on him at some point. He's a cinnamon roll, and is awesome to be around. While Lolsy And Devils showed interest in fanfiction in general, not really SYOTs, Cato was enthusiastic about it and I WAS SO HAPPY A WORLD I'D BEEN A WEIRD LONER IN WOULD BE OPENED TO SOMEONE I KNEW! And just in time for my 2-year anniversary here! Pepper- First, we need to address the fact that THIS GIRL IS A FRICKIN NINJA! Like, she has the skills AND scariness! But don't let that fool you, she is kind and has a strong sense of justice, and actively pursues her goals. Despite everyone she could have chosen, she chose to hang out with Cato, who somehow thought that hanging out with me was a good idea, and it became a triangle of friendship! Did I mention that triangles are some of the strongest shapes? Submit to her story! Support my young friend!: Trial: The 1st Hunger Games Birk - Always supporting me and submitting to my stories. Pi - Great at constructive criticism and constructing tributes. Plat - The undisputed master of tribute forms. Tracee- The SYOT writer who inspired me to start Moon Skies. Notice Board My laptop is back for good this time, and I've written about three quarters of the Ten reapings. Update should come soon. Also, REALITY RESURRECTION IS NOT CANCELLED. Just putting that out there. If you've read the latest MMAM chapter, you'll know that there are two RR tributes who are now rendered ineligible for resurrection. Bear with me, I have a plan for what I will do with them. I have received the required submissions for RR. Let it be known that Gloria Martez will take the place of Kylis while Parvati Hallows will take the place of Ferrari. It has come to my attention that many tributes featured in RR also feature in LCS' traditional Resurrection Games. This is okay and can fit in the universe of RR, as it would have to be hundreds of years in the future to accommodate all of the tributes, while LCS' is during the 49th/50th year of Panem. Yes, you can have tributes in both, but note that I will likely kill them faster if they are doing well/don't die. Alternatively, like one submitter, you could have your tribute ONLY in LCS' Games, and I will find a way to eliminate them as quickly as possible. Killed by Mindy Desperationis, D11F (Bloodbath) Nelly, you were the first tribute of mine to die, and I almost cried writing your death. You didn't deserve to be hacked to pieces by Mindy, you didn't deserve to be in these Games at all, you didn't do anything wrong, you were happy in District 7, eating cheese, climbing trees, and making sure your brother wasn't in trouble. You were surprisingly well received among the readers of Moon Skies, and I almost took you further, and you were just such an amazing character, Nelly. Have fun in the afterlife! "The Shy Girl" How long have I been like this? Gratiana Brindle, 17, District 3 Female in Royal Blood: The 110th Hunger Games by MRKenn Placed 17th 0 kills FUN FACT: Tiana is a surprisingly good artist. Killed by Iridi Lotu, D1M (Bloodbath) Tiana, you didn't deserve this. You should have just been happy back in Three with your books, but the dreaded slip of paper came out of the reaping ball and you were doomed. But you wildly exceeded my expectations, and you didn't place 24th. You did better than Nelly, for crying out loud! Sadly, you didn't make the cut, and you will be remembered. Let's hope Danylo wins this in your memory! Read all the books in heaven! "The Philosopher" Thinking about a thing I heard Danylo Sepia, 17, District 3 Male in Royal Blood: The 110th Hunger Games by MRKenn Placed 16th 0 kills FUN FACT: He has been obsessed with pizza ever since he first tasted it on his birthday a few years back. Killed by Victoria Rochas, D1F DAMN DANYLO, BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE GETTING IMPALED BY THE VICIOUS ONE TRIBUTES (Though it was Gratiana who died at the hands of Iridi first, and I can't blame you for that). Seriously though, you were one freaking awesome tribute. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry as I read your death. I still can't believe you died so early, next time, don't be so cocky. And don't steal, because of karma. But, in the wise words of Birkaran, "Killing my tributes back to back is injurious to health". And it never won't be. Keep being the amazing tribute you died as, and know that Fanylos Panem-wide are mourning. "The Vampire" We suck young blood Shinju Matsushita, 18, District 3 Female in Heart of Darkness: The Forty-Fourth Hunger Games by LadyCordeliaStuart Placed 13th 1 kill (Ally Tesla, 5F) FUN FACT: Shinju went through a LOT of changes before I submitted her form. In my first vision, she was a sweet little girl who wanted the best for everyone. She was also, at one point, the leader of a black market at her school. Died of hepatitis Shinju! You were a cool tribute, but unfortunately, vampires don't win the Hunger Games. I was mad when you killed Ally, but I guess we became even when I sent you the wooden stake. You went from a little orphan kid with big dreams to a slightly older vampire kid with big dreams. I didn't know whether to scream in joy or in grief when the cold hands of hepatitis finally choked you, your last POV was amazing. You became a scary story in the orphanage, so I guess you got your wish. Remember, you can be happy in heaven, and for goodness sake, don't track down Ally. Please. UPDATE: "cold hands of hepatitis" LOL "The Rue Clone that Wasn't" So I can get it running Quincianah "Quincy" Aubergine, 12, District 11 Female in Royal Blood: The 110th Hunger Games by MRKenn Placed 8th 1 kill bonfire (Iridi Lotu, 1M) FUN FACT: Quincy placed one lower than Rue. I don't know whether to laugh or cry... Stabbed by Citlali Kenyie, 9F NO! MY QUINCY! NO! You were meant to be a bloodbath, but Tiana and Danylo dropped like flies, and you kept living through it all. I thought it was more likely you were going to win with every chapter, and people thought you could do it too. I was crying when you died, but at least you set Iridi on fire, avenging Tiana, which was probably the best thing ever. I hoped and hoped it was Incy Citlali stabbed, but the obituaries proved me wrong. Quincy, I talked about you to all my friends, I even planned an amazing victory story for you. Rest in peace, Quince, you deserve it for making the freaking best kill ever. "The Dodgeball Player" Because it's you, I just know you'll make it through Samantha "Sammy" Voltage, 14, District 5 Female in Survivor: The Forty-Seventh Hunger Games by LadyCordeliaStuart Placed 15th 0 eliminations Eliminated by Charming Goodwin, 1M FUN FACT: Will be replacing Nelly in Reality Resurrection! :D I am shaking right now. Sammy has been my best chance at victory for ages. I knew she'd go far, but 15th? I'm mad, especially since it was a voting Games. Sammy, my beautiful Sammy, didn't even live to see the merge! Sammy got robbed, and I'm upset, but she did really well and had lots of fun. She made friends, taught a boy how to read, and won challenges for her team. She thrived on the island, and was an asset to Heilala Tribe. I still don't know why she was voted against UNANIMOUSLY! Sammy, you might have been hit, but I caught the ball, you're back in your element for Reality Resurrection. Thank Nelly while you can. "The Reformed Vampire" Now I'm here blinking in the starlight Now I'm here suddenly I see Standing here it's all so clear I'm where I'm meant to be Shinju Matsushita II, 18-ish, District 3 Female in Cruel Mercy by LadyCordeliaStuart Placed 3rd (out of 10) 0 kills Eliminated by Chrome Cabello, 2F Fun Fact: She got INSANE amounts of development in Cruel Mercy, which is great, because she won't suck people's blood anymore. "The Neat Botanist" You said "We've had a good run" And pounding through the night, a sudden shower had come Made sense, it happens now and then I'll pour a little water for sugarvine Gaia Imani, 15, District 8 Female in Blow Me Over: The 22nd Annual Hunger Games by tracelynn Placed 20th 0 kills Killed by A FRICKIN TORNADO and Trinity Vegas, 1F Fun Fact: WHY DO THE LYRICS SAY SHOWER A FRICKIN TORNADO CAME AND M URDERED MY POOR LITTLE PLANT BABY (Actual fun fact: The D8Fs in tracelynn's SYOTs have plant/nature names, Holly and Gaia) Okay, I knew she was going to die. But a TORNADO?!! Damn, this must be karma for Quincy turning Iridi into a human bonfire (#WorthIt). Gaia has a special spot in my heart, she's the first tribute I've ever made who was half-decent. I say "half-decent" because some aspects of her were still pretty awful. But Tracee did a really great job with her, and everyone seemed to like her, which was great. She had a good alliance until EVERYONE DIED. Well, what's done is done. Gaia, tend the plants in the afterlife my little plant baby, and know that I'm still sad about your death. I can't put you in RR because I've already written Sammy's POV, but that's chill. "The Flamboyant Entrepreneur" You want happiness and quick? Got it! Magic? Not magic! Y’see, my protocol is all medical! Take the ticker, and cadaver, safe on the stretcher, find your place! Another call? A medi-call? Impressed, and yet the best is next! Witness finesse of a great genius! Tatsuya Hikaru, 14, District 3 Male in A Night To Remember: The Forty-Ninth Hunger Games by LadyCordeliaStuart Placed 10th 0 kills Impaled by Fable Anders, 1F Fun Fact: I got around the "purple eyes" thing with Tatsuya, as I wrote in his form that he uses purple contacts instead of glasses in the Capitol and the Games. This wasn't shown as there were no stylist POVs in this SYOT. Tatsuya my small bean! You were AWESOME! You made the best alliance, and got really far. You were smart, ambitious, and a true Slytherclaw, which helped you get far in the Games. Everyone seemed to like you and your alliance with the scientific prodigy and total psycho Zibby Spooly, but you knew how you had to protect yourself. Rest assured, Tatsuya fans, that even in the upcoming Resurrection Games, when he will be back, and afterwards, when he probably won't, he will play an ENORMOUS part in my next non-resurrected LCS tribute. Did you really think Tatsuya Hikaru was going to fade into obscurity that easily? "The Sentenced-To-Volunteer" How 'bout you and me be friends? But we'll never have to use any words Although I've still got things to speak I just couldn't see the tragedy soon to be Kellar Fairbairn, 15, District 5 Male in Crash Landing: Book Three by IVolunteerAsAuthor Placed 20th 0 kills Speared by Eliza Orsini, 1F Fun Fact: Kellar was originally submitted to 9M, but met his doom in his current district. I wake up this morning, and I see Kellar. DEAD. Well, he couldn't help being 5M, so I guess that's okay. Kellar sort of faded into the background later in the story, and took a backseat to characters like Carolina and Adam. And indeed, I have not much to say here. But Kellar's death isn't all bad. He would have been hated if he won, by the author, his district, the Capitol, so he's probably better off dead. Rest in peace, Kellar. You were cool while you lasted. "The Twice-Resurrected Once-Resurrected" (No song since it was a false death) Tatsuya Hikaru II, 14 (technically 15), District 3 Male in Resurrection Resurrection by LadyCordeliaStuart Would have placed 47th 0 kills Drowned in the flood Revived by Sparkil Maclein, 3F First weird death! Yay? So Tatsuya basically died, but thanks to a super cool ally (who had saved Shinju's life too), he's back in the land of the living (for now). However, they still played his cannon. He's alive and kicking, the Gamemakers are kicking themselves, and his sister is just relieved he's still in the game. The odds were in his favour this time. "He's Actually Dead This Time" You held me down, but I got up Already brushing off the dust You hear my voice, you hear that sound Like thunder, gonna shake the ground Tatsuya Hikaru 2 1/2, 14 (technically 15), District 3 Male in Resurrection Resurrection by LadyCordeliaStuart Placed 40th 0 kills Died of roundworm infestation Not even Sparkil could save you from nasty river bugs. It could happen to anyone. Tatsuya, you did really well. You were in the top half of 155 tributes! That's not something to sniff at. You didn't lose your great personality in the Games, trying to make Jaysiree a thing even though they had no chemistry and Jayla was dead. You were a young and fun addition to a powerful and talented alliance, and you seemed to be pretty popular amongst both Capitol and FF.N audiences. Rest in peace before the next Resurrection Games, my adorable bean. You did well. And what better way to thank you for your sacrifices than PUTTING YOUR TWIN SISTER INTO THE HUNGER GAMES?! Sorry, Tatsuya. Well, not sorry, because Miyuji will be great. But still. "The Almost-Victorious" Dream it almost every night, and when I wake, still can’t get away Sure, I know it’s always said that every tear will help me face what’s ahead But I think that’s all a lie and it’ll tear you up instead Shinju Matsushita III, 18 (technically 24), District 3 Female in Resurrection Resurrection by LCS. Placed 7th (out of 155!) 0 kills Impaled by Jeanie Clay, 9F Shinju, you were so close, and everyone knew it. You were doing so well, and you still were at the time of your death. Your final thoughts were the moments I felt most proud as a submitter, even after Quincy's epic kill, even if Sammy wins (#SaveMyGirl). You listened to Lyte, and you went to help Gidget. Shinju Matsushita, you have been through so much, and you have grown to be one of my favourite tributes. You even made peace with the girl you sucked the blood of! And the best part is, it's not over yet. You have a good chance next Games, and even if you don't win, you will be remembered as kind and remorseful. Lyte is very proud of you, my girl, so is everyone else. Keep following your inner light. "The Dodgeball Player II" Fill this dream and fly straight out to you Just remember to not blink we’ll be carrying on Tomorrow is another day! Samantha "Sammy" Voltage III, 14 (technically 17), District 5 Female in Resurrection Resurrection by LCS Placed 3RD!! (OUT OF 155!!) 0 kills Literally faded away Even though Sammy is one of my all-time favourite tributes, I NEVER imagined her getting this far. Yes, it was a Voting Games, but STILL! At the top 7, I decided to abandon my year old (happy birthday Shinju) plan to get Shinju to victory, and votes for Sammy to win, which paid off as Shinju placed 7th and Sammy got way further. Sammy had no experience being in the Games before, as her last one was a special case, but she somehow did BETTER THAN THE REST OF MY TRIBUTES! That includes Pandora who placed 2nd, but she just smiled and played chess the whole time. I got VERY excited when Sammy made the top 5. Everyone else got VERY ANNOYED about the #SaveSammy crap that found its way into their PM inboxes. Sorry everyone. My frantic efforts were for naught though. She faded away in front of the victor's eyes, and placed 3rd. I've gotten over her death, and to be honest it stung less than her first death. At least she had a cool death though. She enjoyed an ice cream (courtesy of Camellia) and the company of friends while she watched all her greatest moments, then painlessly faded away into thin air. Sammy, I am so proud of you. I never imagined you would get this far. But I cannot thank all of you enough for voting for Sammy and bringing my girl to the finals. It means a lot. "The Dream Scientist" I've always been a smart girl Always made the grade, always got the gold star I've always been a smart girl But smart girl only gets a girl so far Nacelle Hall Aeolius, 16, District 5 Female in Running Man by SilverflowerXRavenpaw (collab tribute with Platrium) Placed 6th 0 kills Shot by Clariselle von Doom (Hunter) and poisoned with insulin by Rodney Sanchez (6M) Cell! You were too cool for this. Yes, you were a very nerdy scientist, but you were a cool very nerdy scientist who manipulated dreams with your cousin Rotor, who also didn't deserve this crap. But you got a good deal. You were with the most popular tribute in years until you died, so you were comfortable in the Arena. You also had lunch with the president and slept over at her house! But you also saw your allies die one by one, including Rotor, who was killed by a simple mistake, until it was your time to go. And it was only a simple accident that killed you too! But that's okay. I was a REALLY terrible reviewer and reader, essentially joining halfway through, so a Cell victory would be a disappointing ending. Thanks to Silver for writing her well and Platrium for collaborating with me on Nacelle! "The Board Gamer" So make the best of this test, and don't ask why It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time It's something unpredictable, But in the end it's right I hope you had the time of your life Placed 20th 0 kills Punched repeatedly by Zuri Abioye, 2F and stabbed by Arwyn Opel, 6F Okay, I can't say I didn't ask for this. In fact, I actually did. Reyes, you were 101% bloodbath fodder. Sorry about that. But you were an adorable cinnamon roll too with *checks* a bit of backstory? Everyone seemed to like you until you sort of faded into the background, but it was worth it to see some cool development. Plus you ran with a REALLY bad crowd in the Games. I know you were kind of forced to be in it, but still. I guess it's better you died in the Bloodbath so you wouldn't become a monster later. Reyes, you'll be missed. (All lyrics here belong to their respective owners) Lucky AF to be alive and relatively unharmed "The Logical Gymnast" I got my ticket for the long way round Two bottles of whiskey for the way And I sure would like some sweet company And I'm leaving tomorrow, what do you say Pandora Eurydice Zachery, 16, District 5 Female in Make Me A Match: The 125th Hunger Games by goldie031 Placed 2nd (out of 26) 0 kills Eliminated by Garnet Emerald AAAAAAAAAAA I'M SO PROUD!!!! She has the best placement out of all my tributes, even though nobody in her competition died. She was SO CLOSE to victory, though I'm happy she didn't win, so my little babies in IDIDE have a chance. Still, I have to admit, the Pandora that Goldie wrote was very different to the Pandora in my form, for all the right reasons. I was new to FanFiction.Net, and I made a bland character who didn't have much going for her, made to be Garnet's perfect wife. But Goldie made her actually interesting to read, so even though she didn't get much screentime, it was insanely fun seeing Pandora's adventures. Placements: 20th (4x), 17th (1x), 16th (1x), 15th (1x), 13th (1x), 10th (1x), 8th (1x), 3rd (1x), 2nd (1x) Preferred Placements: Literally anything but 20th. Future tributes: Many, many punk rockers. Also nerds. Literally the best name I have come up with, ever |
