Um... Peeta gets abused by his mom to help Katniss out, and then they become allies in the Hunger Games years later. Peeta has a crush on Katniss, but Katniss thinks it's an act so she plays along, but Peeta thinks it's real. Then Peeta finds out she's just acting and loads of crap follow.
