My pet hate has to do with people downloading things that don't belong to them and then using them for their own devices. If I have ever done that I have always contacted the person, when I have found them, and apologised. It is not acceptable behaviour to just take something and not acknowledge the person who has done the work.

There is a user on this website who is using a download of a painting a close friend of mine did. That painting is now in a private collection and yet this person blatantly uses the artwork as an avatar, without permission of the artist.

Not acceptable.

How would it be if you had written a story and then found someone had used it; same thing, just as unacceptable. In this upside-down crazy world we all live in, can we not be civilized about these things for once?
