Regina's curse works but the enchanted tree isn't able to send Emma to our world, she is sent to a land where magic is outlawed & means death to those who practice it - Camelot. She is sent to Merlin, who passes Emma off as his daughter to keep her safe until she can break the curse. Merlin/Morgana & eventual Captain Swan.
