She should have realized that the Winchesters have the ability to sniff out injuries quicker than a K-9 unit on the hunt, and that that certain ability heightens when it comes to their sister.

After Jessica dies Sam and Dean are left with her teenage sister. They teach her about the supernatural and she tries to balance learning to hunt with being a normal teenager.
