John Egbert enrolls as a new student to a prestigious New York dance academy. To his surprise, his jazz instructor happens to be none other than Karkat Vantas, whom has been John's idol since he was twelve. It's been four years since the incident that supposedly knocked Karkat off the path of fame, and John has some questions... Johnkat, probably not going heavy on the smut.

Karkat Vantas has always been a freak of nature. Being in the Alternian Psychiatric Center for Troubled Teens just seems to reinforce that fact. Since he's been instituted, he's had to deal with some pretty weird shit; a freakily eccentric new 'friend', a dumbass psychopathic roomate, and to top it all off, a meddling douchebag from Skaia Prep, residing across the street.
