Poll: So, to those of you who have read 'Making you Love Me', I'm thinking of continuing it but I want your opinion. Should I continue the story? If I did, would you want Bruce to eventually realize his error and try to make amends or have someone else be there to give Dick the encouragement he needs? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 4 stories for Young Justice, Harry Potter, Glee, and Homestuck. Ho-la(not to be confused with Spanish)! I've officially deleted all the stories from my Favorites List on FF, and I don't know when I will be putting any back. It's not because I don't like anything - trust me guys, I love you - it's that I'm reorganizing things. I have a personal list of fanfictions on my computer that consists of over 200 fanfics before 2013. I abandoned it, and now that I've found it again I'm going to update it. So, I can't do anything with my Favorites List until I've fixed that. Now, on to the fun thing. I plan to put up quotes from stories that I've read and really like. So, here goes! The Harry Potter Section "That's enough, Lucius," said Dumbledore's stern voice from behind Harry as the old wizard's firm hands settled on Harry's shoulders. "Lower your wand and surrender." At the sound of Dumbledore's voice, Draco turned his head and looked for Harry, meeting Harry's eyes with his own. Harry barely heard Dumbledore's words. All of his attention was focused on Draco. Standing across the clearing, in a patch of late afternoon sunlight that slanted down, pink and honey-gold, through the snow-covered trees, Draco seemed to shine. Harry's heart filled with sudden elation and he smiled. He felt the deep magical ties that bound them together, strong and solid and secure, and when Draco smiled back, a shared emotion of exultation surged between them. Lucius didn't even acknowledge Dumbledore with a glance, but let his arm fall to his side while he continued to glare furiously at his son. Dumbledore motioned to one of the Aurors to take away Lucius's wand. For Harry, from that point on, everything seemed to happen in slow motion. Just as the Auror took the first step forward, Lucius's arm snapped back up, his wand aimed directly at Draco's heart. Harry saw Draco's chin come up, as if Draco had expected this and accepted it, surrendering to its inevitability without even trying to defend himself. Draco's eyes never left Harry's. The mist-gray eyes were filled with resolve and pride and love . . . and, as his father's wand came up, with profound apology. And all at once, Harry knew. Everything crashed together, all the puzzling pieces fit suddenly into a horrible, insane sense and Harry screamed. "Draco! NO!" "Avada Kedavra!" bellowed Lucius. Checkmate, Naadi "How can You-Know-Who be causing problems if he's dead?" Percy asked, frowning. "Is he a ghost?" "No, he's just mostly dead," Harry explained. "Mostly dead?" Neville repeated. "What's the difference?" "There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Now, mostly dead is slightly alive. Now, all dead...well, with all dead, there's usually only one thing that you can do," Luna said, grinning. "Go through his clothes and look for loose change," Harry finished. "I love Princess Bride! You know," he said, turning to his three best friends. "I don't know what it is, but lately Luna's been beating you guys in the friends department hands down." "It's not our fault we're not insane," Hermione said, crossing her arms. "No offense, Luna." "Why would I be offended?" Luna asked. "I've seen your version of sanity. It bores me." - Oh God Not Again! Sarah1281 The Young Justice Section "Shhh, you're not gonna die," Gordon says, putting more pressure on the wound. "Where's the damn ambulance?" "No, listen to me," Robin says weakly, grabbing the lapel of the Commissioner's coat. "I may die, I may not. But Robin cannot die. See?" And he does, oh, he does. Because Robin is a mask, and you can't kill a legend. Because the Batman isn't human, so neither is his sidekick. Because if Robin dies, there's no way people wouldn't find out, and then identities would be at risk. But the boy behind the mask could die. Horrible as it is, this is Gotham. Young boys die here every night. What's one more? And Robin realizes all this, Gordon thinks. He knows the tricks. He knows that Robin cannot die, so he's willing to take the blow himself. - What Doesn't Kill You Still Breaks You Down, midnightluck "Oh... I guess I died," Wally said, a slow realization overcoming him. "That's right." The former speedster turns around to see the woman standing behind him in the doorway. Her eyes, red this time, while still cold looking, managed to look slightly amused. "Hello," she says. "I'm Death." Wally grins. "Yeah, I kinda figured that out a long time ago." He extends his hand out. "Nice to finally meet you, old friend." Death smiles. She reaches out to shake Wally's hand. "Nice to meet you, too, Wally West. Shall we go?" "Yeah." Wally West died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 89. - Omens, Seito "Are you sure about this, Bruce?" he asked. "I weigh one-eighty without the cast! Now, I'm closer to one-ninety. And, well, you're not as young as you used to be." This last was met with a loud guffaw from Jim. "Aren't we all?" Jim asked, laughing. "He's got you there, Bruce!" This time Barbara didn't quite succeed in smothering an involuntary snicker. Alfred merely raised a single eyebrow. "Maybe not, Munchkin," Bruce growled, "but I can still take you over my knee and give you a good spanking." Dick grimaced at the old nickname. "Bruce," he complained, "everybody can hear you!" Bruce looked around as if seeing the others for the first time. He turned back to Dick. "So? Let 'em get their own kid to torture. I've got dibs on you, remember?" - Home For Christmas, Syl The Glee Section 46) In case I haven't already put my point across, I really, really dislike him. 47) Like, a lot. 48) Your high school years are crucial. They set you up for later life. You do not want to spend your prime time lusting after the school bad boy. Furthermore, you look disgusting when you drool, which you seem to do a lot when you're around him. 49) The fact that I've spent a good hour of my time writing this rather than nursing my budding talent shows you how important this is. 50) For a straight-A student, you're being decidedly dense about this. The facts are simple: Do not go anywhere near Kurt Hummel. I officially forbid you. Kurt laughed aloud. Well, that hadn't gone particularly well. - 50 Reasons Blaine Can't Date Kurt Hummel, captain-ally "Besides, Blaine," Rachel added, "I've heard you have sex so many times." Kurt and Blaine gave her simultaneous looks of disgust. "Why do you listen?" Blaine asked, sounding incredulous. "Oh come on, Blaine, you guys are so loud!" She told him. "It's really hard to avoid it." Blaine seemed to consider this. "I suppose. Sorry, Rach." "It's fine," she assured him, "I wrote a song about it to release some of my pent up frustration and I must say, it's a masterpiece. It's called 'My Sexually Active Brother.' I'm going to be performing it in Glee club next week, OK?" Blaine choked again. Between coughs, he said, "No, Rachel! That is not OK!" - Take Off Your Colours, captain-ally The Lord of the Rings Section *None of these are actually on FF.net* "Strider?" Aragorn queried after a few moments "Well, I could have come up with something else you know. Something worse." Legolas replied lightly. "Oh, such as?" "Striver, one who strives but never attains. Wanderer, one who never finds his destination. Or perhaps one of the richer elven words for arrogant, lost or boastful. You do know them, right?" He teased the wounded man. "All right, very well. You can have your fun. Strider it is. Thank you for not telling them who I really am. Having you know and be able to hold it over my head is bad enough." He reached his hand out and found it quickly enveloped in the smaller hand of the elf. "Worry not. Your secret is safe with me." Legolas laughed lightly, "Strider!" And so it came to be that, though named as such in jest, the young Ranger would eventually take up the alias of Strider throughout his older years, in fond memory of his friend and their many adventures together. - First Meetings, Cassia and Soibhan ATTENTION! SHAMELESS PROMOTION AHEAD! So, me and ExperimentalHeart started a community for a crossover ship that we happen to like that also happens to be largely unwritten by...everyone. I speak for both of us when I say we'd appreciate it if you'd just scroll on down and click on the Community. And if anyone really likes it and wants to do some FanArt for it, that would be nice. Between writing and drawing(as she's the artistic one in the relationship) for the Community, ExperimentalHeart is swamped and would surely appreciate the help. ...But don't tell her I said it. ;) A short salutation to Robi Williams, a friend of mine. He was born on January 11th, 1998 and died on December 22nd, 2012. Send wishes to his parents and to his friends. |
