All my life I have imagined stories. Some have been been original. Others have been inspired by movies and TV shows. My mind plays stories almost all the time. It's like watching a store front with multiple TV sets playing different channels. Early on I didn't write much due to being dyslexic. Not until computer text editing and inline spell checking, did I begin to write seriously. At first I tried literature. I sold some short stories. But that was my limit. I found that I cannot maintain consistent literary prose for the length of a novel. Yes, I have several tries at writing novels. Then I started writing movie scripts. Much, much easier. Scripts still have action, dialog, a narrative story, just as any literary writing, except for fancy prose. I see screenwriting as basically pure story. Writing scripts is easy for me. I can turn out story after story in script form. Coming up with stories is easy. I don't have to agonize about the specific prose, which is my obstacle.
