Welcome, welcome!

I am Cricket, formerly SillyLeafHamster. I have been away for an awful long time, but I have returned with updated writing skills and a more mature look on life. I am ready to dive back into the world of Fanfiction, and finally contribute works worthy of an audience.

A little bit about me...

First things first, I am the biggest animal lover you will ever meet. I live for animals. I have quite the zoo in my house. I have snakes, geckos, rabbits, guinea pigs, a cat, and a bird. They are my everything. I am huge into herpetology (the study of reptiles, love of reptiles in general) and always ready to talk reptiles (especially snakes, I can go on and on all day about snakes). If you are interested in just talking snakes, I will gladly talk snakes with you!

I love to read (obviously). Animal fantasy is my favorite genre, of course. The Warriors series is what got me into all that years and years ago. Still keep up with them to this day, though I tend to prefer more mature reading. Watership Down is my all time favorite book, hands down (and no I do NOT want to talk about the awful Netflix original series, it was terrible). I also love books centered around dragons because, well, dragons.

I also love to travel, I usually go somewhere every year. National Parks are my favorite. And tourist spots. Like Vegas. Vegas is great. Oh, and I live in the US. Kind of important, but not really.

Now to the fanfiction side of things.

Currently and so far the longest fandom I have dedicated time to is Once Upon a Time. I am huge into romance and canon couples, so of course I fell for one of the greatest, most angsty ships ever. I am a proud Rumbelle fangirl, through and through. Because, y'know, the best cup is chipped. I could really care less for the rest of the show and characters. I only want Rumbelle. Which is why I did not finish the series. The last two or three seasons, to be exact. And I don't intend to. I get bored very quickly with things that drag on and on. So if you follow me for my Rumbelle works, they will pretty much all be set in the Enchanted Forest. Because I live in the modern day real world, and sometimes (all the time) I need an escape to a fantasy world.

Most of my works will be Rumbelle. I have some old stuff from other forgotten fandoms here that I will probably leave up for the few people that have enjoyed them so far, but from here I go in a new direction. I am a bit late to the party since OUAT is long over with, but I hope to at least grab the attention of a few die hard fans like myself.

Be forewarned, much of my writing will be mature. But I also do enjoy my fair share of fluff and comedy, so expect that too.
