Fanfiction combines two of my favorite pastimes, namely writing and stealing things. For anyone reading this... I've not really done fanfic before, but I've done quite a bit of my own fiction/nonfiction writing. I've been focusing on short stuff lately and hit a bit of a block at about the same time Gravity Falls ended. Put those two things together and you get the Gravity Falls fanfic that I'm stringing together. I've got no other fics going right now, and for this one, I have literally no plan for how I'm putting this story together. I'm flying blind - I have no idea when or where it's going to end, and what places it's going to go in between.

It's a Padippica or Dipifica or Padifica or whatever you want to call it - Dipper/Pacifica relationship, but I am making an honest effort to actually explore their relationship, see how they play off each other when they interact, and to try and involve the other characters some. Gravity Falls has an incredibly deep bench to pick from, and not all of the characters got quite the development that I felt they could have (that's not to guarantee that all of those characters are going to get some run in this story).

Pacifica being one of them was part of the reason I chose to take this angle; that and I'm a complete romantic sap. Also it felt like one of the more natural angles to take; I toyed around with another supernatural arc, reviving Bill, that sort of thing - but it wound up feeling forced. I started working on this, and it came together pretty quick. Hopefully Gravity Falls fans can enjoy it as well as fans of the ship.

Five is up now after a TREMENDOUS hiatus. Four months. Still, we're Gravity Falls fans, if there's one thing we ought to be used to it's hiatuses. I was honestly skeptical at one point that I would return to this, but I'm glad I did. This was supposed to be a one-off that I decided to explore a bit further, so I'm feeling my way through the story a bit, though now I do have at least a vague vision of where I want it to go. There is no schedule for how quickly I'll get stuff up. I appreciate the feedback I've gotten so far; my mother didn't love me so now I seek validation from strangers on the internet, so it really means a lot to have people like what I do.

Anyway, if you've read this much... thanks for reading, honestly, I hope I've provided some insight into this thing, and I hope you enjoy my work.
