![]() Author has written 13 stories for Legend of Zelda, Cowboy Bebop, Naruto, Metroid, Harry Potter, X-overs, and Star Wars. DO NOT FOLLOW 'THE UNTITLED NARUTO STORY' I HAVE MARKED THAT AS COMPLETE. I AM NOT WORKING ON IT, IT WILL NOT BE UPDATED, AND IT IS NOT AT ALL WHAT I SET OUT TO DO WHEN I STARTED. REPEAT: DO NOT FOLLOW 'THE UNTITLED NARUTO STORY'. YOU WILL BE WAITING FOR UPDATES THAT WILL NEVER COME. As of September 3 2016...I still haven't done crap on any of my stories. Sorry to everyone waiting for updates; issues exist and there's no real way to overcome them (being as they are lifetime obstacles) I will never again complain about writers who haven't updated. My name is Trace Reading; as you can guess I am somewhat of an amateur when it comes to writing and creating derivative works based off of things I like, but I'll endeavor to do a good enough job to get some favorites! I'm currently a resident of Maryland, though where in specific I can't actually say just yet (that info sadly is reserved for friends and the government). I'm [redacted] years old currently and getting older by the minute but don't tell anyone else that, ahaha. I'm a fan of most things, or at least I don't actively hate them, as it's pretty hard to get on my bad side. Don't expect to see any Twilight fiction from me anytime soon, though (and I never will actually, I've read better stuff in grade school); the same goes for Panty and Stocking. Maybe when people cool down about it I'll take a look, but I'm more into older shows and things that have finished their run. Remember: Slash is Trash. CURRENT WORKS-IN-PROGRESS (disclaimer: may or may not actually be in the process of writing):
The Fox and the Hound (Also Naruto, and may get a rewrite depending on how I feel about what's already in place)...I may end up junking this one. It's a good premise, I guess, but the execution needs work, and I hit a few tropes without even realizing it. TV Tropes will ruin your life. Unnamed Harvest Moon fiction (Is there even a category for this?)
Unnamed Dragon Ball project: what if after encountering that big-ass tiger in the mountains, Bulma had asked to be taught the art of fighting? Second Impact (if you guessed Evangelion you get a cookie.) Metroid/Halo crossover and/or various Metroid crossovers Halo/Mass Effect crossover. Yeah I know it's been done but I have a juicy juicy idea for this.
Stupid ideas I came up with at 4 AM! Things Misato Katsuragi is No Longer Allowed to Do--Regarding this, if you want to write your own backstory for one or more of the rules, feel free! Just be sure to link back to the original list in your profile, and if you could send me the link to whatever you end up writing in regards to the 260 rules, I would appreciate that. *UPDATE: Due to moderator removal I will be writing minichapters to go with the rules and resubmitting the story, 5-8 rules at a time.* Eventually. Various one-shots, bunnies and dead fic ideas that will be posted to the obligatory compendium. Anyway that's all I've got to say about that; I'll try to be regular with updates, although I can't promise anything. I guess I'd better get started, huh? Rant section: Does anyone else hate writers using phonetic accents in their works? Completed works are that way because I got bored with them or thought they were crap. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is. Personal gripes: profiles that are a million words long and filled with copypasta from five years ago; favorite stories lists that go into the quadruple digits; WRITER'S BLOCK FOR oh and my most recent gripe (as of 2013) people who describe characters as not having pupils. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. To elaborate: PLEASE STOP DESCRIBING CHARACTERS AS NOT HAVING PUPILS. PUPILS ARE WHAT ENABLE YOU TO F%*$ING SEE. THEIR ABSENCE IN ARTWORK IS ARTISTIC LICENSE TO MAKE THE COLOR STAND OUT MORE/MAKE THE CHARACTER EASIER TO DRAW. AT NO POINT EVER ANYWHERE DOES A CHARACTER NOT HAVE PUPILS. EVEN (most of) THE BLIND ONES. (I say most of the blind ones because it IS medically possible to be born with the cornea to be occluded or the iris to cover part or all of the pupil, not to mention issues with the vitreous humor, but in most cases these defects can be treated.) Naruto series writers are particularly bad offenders. by the way. IT'S SPELLED PROPHECY. NOT PROPHESY. PROPHESY IS SOMETHING YOU DO. |
