Here is my relatively short entry for the March 2018 Land Before Time prompt challenge, which was to make a LBT legend. In this story we see a bit of Ruby's siblings and parents. After a brush with near-death, Arial is about to learn a very important lesson about the history of her people, and, along the way, about life itself.

My response for the February 2018 Gang of Five prompt challenge which involves making a story involving undying love. Set in the Mender's Tale continuity. When Nahoda asked his mate a question that had been on his mind for awhile, he had no idea it would set into motion events involving vines, a tree, a horribly confused flyer, and a future awkward conversation with the in-laws.

Sequel to Rise of the Dragon Riders. Hiccup lives in relative peace in Berk with the village dynamic improving well with the addition of the dragons. Unfortunately, Hiccup will have to learn that peace is a constant battle and never permanent in the world of man. Forces are moving and it looks like the Dragon Riders better get moving too if the peace is to be preserved.

"Well it had been two days until a near-death experience. I must be getting better at this whole surviving thing!" Nahoda noted sarcastically. The fastrunner's decision to leave the Valley of the Rivers, made a few days prior, was now looking like the best course of action. It's just a shame he hadn't come to that conclusion before Chomper's father came on the scene...

Valka had been holding her son when Cloudjumper snatched her away. Instead of being raised by his father and living on Berk, Hiccup was raised by Valka in the Dragon's Den. Raised in a home where he was loved and cherished, Hiccup does all he can to protect his family, both human and dragon alike. But dangers are everywhere in the form of dragon trappers and the Vikings of Berk.

Only infant dragons were immune to the call of an alpha, it was basic dragon knowledge. Too bad an undersized Night Fury was the exception to this rule. The real kicker: said Night Fury wasn't a dragon yesterday. Hiccup, just what did you get yourself into this time? AU: deviates at the start of the first movie.

Ultimately, it was his fault. No one finds hope in the face of certain despair like he does. He always tries to find a solution or middle ground, no matter the problem. Dragons. Once they were enemy's of Vikings. Then a viking made peace between them. Finally the dragons left our world forever. Years later the first dragons spirit ignited and now everyone has one. A modern anime inspired AU where everyone has a dragon spirit except one 17 year old boy, but that is about to change.

Wishing for true peace between Vikings and dragons, the gods have hidden the last female Night Fury in plain sight. Beata is given the appearance of a human and charged with ensuring a brighter future for all. As she struggles to find her true self and sort out this vague destiny, the dragon-child finds herself on an island where her hopes may already have been realized.

Hiccup has always been a little different. He just didn't know how much until he met Toothless. If his secret comes out, his village may just kill him, and that's assuming the other tribes don't get him first. After all, no one else can understand the dragons quite like Hiccup can. DISCONTINUED

In an attempt to protect his son, Stoick concocts a plan that winds up hurting Hiccup worse than the young Viking would have ever imagined possible. His wounds are so great that he tries to end his life, but recovering from a suicide attempt is only half of Hiccup's battle. Now he has to learn to trust his family and friends again. Rated T for self-harm and some foul language.

When Hiccup was little he was terrified of dragons, so what would have happened if he'd met Toothless then? Toothless himself had only seen humans from a distance, and knew very little about them, but wanted to know more. But when, by some weird fate, the two meet, it's impossible to tell what will happen. Hiccup wasn't technically banished. He left before anyone could do more than get angry. Now people call him The First dragon rider and a hard year later he has a group of dragon riders at his back. Tuffnut decides to go on a solo adventure and before he knows it he's riding a dragon and joining Hiccup's battle against the Red Death. The tribes have other ideas. And Dagur is a pain.

Many many pairings, these will be mostly smut with a little bit of pairing followed by a nice hot cup of romance. There will be many lemons squeezed.

The freak. The runt. The weird one. All his life, Hiccup's been looked down on. And when even his father turns his back on him, he finally leaves. After hatching a plan to win the village's esteem, though, Hiccup accidentally finds himself the new leader of the dragons - and feared by everyone he knows. But he's still determined to gain their respect, one way or another…

Yet even as he carried the humans in a roundabout way back to the village, something had wormed its way into the back of the dragon's mind, and though Toothless ruthlessly suppressed it, the feeling had made itself clear. Loneliness.

The battle against Drago has been won, but Stoick was unable to reach Hiccup in time. They send the young heir off to Valhalla with a Viking funeral and return to Berk. But several months later, a slave ship sails into port bearing a young man who captures Toothless' attention.

Hiccup is a curious kid, but an accident makes him highly neglected in Berk. The other Vikings ignore his existence and the ones that don't just hurt him, so he leaves. Even when he goes missing for weeks, years, no one notices. The reversed role of human and dragon, Hiccup meets Toothless at age 5, broken leg, and switched roles; Neglect, abuse, and Dragonese speaking Hiccup.

A modified version of my Dragonfriend story world (rules only, not a prequel) where Wildheart comes to Berk during the first movie. First movie AU, will eventually deviate from the original script.

Two years after the fall of the Red Death, Thornado delivers a teenage castaway to Berk. But he's more friendly to dragons than people! Lots of fighting, humor, and secrets. Not compatible with RTTE.

Oh, how worried was he now. They had never come this far in difficult times past. What would it do to the both of them if another tragedy struck them down? Hiccup was not always the dragon-rider hero of Berk. To many people he was known as Hiccup the Useless, but to others he was all but useless. He was an adventurer and he was a good friend. Hiccup had a life before he became obsessed with killing a dragon, and this is the story of that life.

Valka never pines for Berk, and aside from pity, the only thing she thinks of her son with is hatred, so sure is she that he'll be exactly the same as every other Viking Berk has ever churned out. That is, until she meets Hiccup himself and watches him shoot across her cave to hug his Night Fury's face.

They both suffered, reliving the same memory over and over again, but it was Hiccup's turn to comfort his best friend. Post-HtTYD2. Ficlet.

Berk has been cursed by a witch! If the Viking's don't learn their lesson when the sun sets on the fifth year, Berk's salvation will die. Will the Vikings learn in time? Does a Night Fury play a role? Astrid? I'm terrible at summaries. It's a good story though. Rated T for suggestive ideas. Just paranoid.

We can't always stay with the ones we love, no matter how much we love them or how much they'd be willing to die to protect us. Sometimes fate takes us before our time, and Toothless can't understand why they'd take Hiccup when he wanted to stay.

Is something you earn, give and take. [Hiccup and Toothless friendship]

Hiccup never thought he would be glad to be separated from Toothless, until his greatest fear became a terrible reality. Dagur x Hiccup brutal, bloody torture and NON-CON whichisthepoliticalycorecttermforrape, M for a reason. STOP BEING SHOCKED PEOPLE I WARN YOU TWICE! If you ignore both the warnings in this summary AND in the authors note within, that's your fault not mine!

The teens compete in their tribe's annual survival competition. But the first rule this year: no dragons allowed! How will this go over with Hiccup's protective Night Fury, Toothless? And more importantly, how will the Hooligan tribe's clumsiest Viking fair alone in the wilderness...? Moments of Hiccstrid. Rating changed to T because of climax.

Dragons don't like getting wet. Hiccup tries to force Toothless to take a bath. Naturally, chaos ensues.

Toothless has been alone for years and the solitude has made him bitter. So what happens when he meets Hiccup and turns her life around by turning her into a Night Fury? Hiccup can't go home and Toothless is starting to regret his actions when he falls in love. Will Hiccup accept it or will she push him away?

"This is more terrifying than watching Hiccup falling into the blistering flames of the Red Death's destruction, of knowing he would lose his entire world if he was not fast enough." When Hiccup is gravely ill, it's up to Toothless to save his human before time runs out for the both of them.

After another dragon raid (and Hiccup halfway destroying the village again) the said "village screw-up" starts to change in front of everyone's eyes. But the change isn't what everyone thinks it is. Rated T for dark themes and ending. (One shot)

Astrid ponders the strange bond that Hiccup and Toothless share, and that despite everything, she can't compete with the black bundle of scales.

Terrible Terrors were the village annoyance and many of the other dragons didn't enjoy their company. Toothless seemed to be the worst with tolerating them. Then something happens which sparks a change in the household. Hiccup realizes he only needed a little Hope in order for Toothless to learn acceptance. Rated for injury/wounds. First attempt at HTTYD.

Hiccup has always been small. Though he denied it when he was very little, he came to terms with it later on, when he turned just pretty little. Sometimes he wished his father could come to terms with it too. Funny One shot that came from an inside joke.

Gender swap-Hiccup. What if there was a reason that Toothless took to Hiccup so easily? What if he had known her from the beginning? Why is he so over-protective and willing to fight to protect her?
