When Jaune's forged transcripts were rebuffed, his only option was to return home in disgrace or forge a new life in Vale. Opening a diner was an impetuous decision, being good at it a stroke of luck. Becoming the favourite haunt for students, teachers and criminals alike…? That was neither, but it sure did keep things interesting. Wasn't the civilian life supposed to be easier?

Every family has its odd member, the one that doesn't fit. Jaune was just that, the black sheep. He had always wanted to be the hero, to be a Huntsman. But when your name is Jaune Salem Arc - Prince of the Grimm - and your mother is understandably against the idea, what is a young man to do? Why, run away to attend Beacon in pursuit of a dream, of course. What could go wrong?

Jaune Arc must return home and gather his strength, to stand against all comers. Ozpin, Salem, Adam, Ironwood. From Vale, to Atlas and beyond, Jaune is done being used, manipulated, and taken to do other's will. Now? His future is his own. Uncaring for titles like Hunstman, he will protect what is his. No matter the cost.

Jaune is a Huntsman, sworn to protect the religious, fearful town of Vale from Grimm and all other creatures of the night. Pyrrha is a werewolf alpha who is expected to one day become the leader of her pack. Nature has made them enemies.
