![]() Author has written 1 story for Flash. Hey all, so I had to move to this account after I forgot the password for my last one. I know, I'm dumb. Oh well. Anyway, I am a Thawne enthusiast and I approve of this message. Fandoms: Young Justice (DC shows in general, and like one movie) Lord of the Rings All of Rick Riordan MCU Superwholock The Umbrella Academy The Flash Legends of Tomorrow Supergirl Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage, against the dying of the light. Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius. You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants some magical solution to their problems and everyone refuses to believe in magic. The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be very uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering. It is very difficult to make one's way in the world without being wicked at one time or another, when the world's way is so wicked to begin with. Strange as it may seem, I still hope for the best, even though the best, like an interesting piece of mail, so rarely arrives. The longer you deny someone their potential the more they're gonna look for it elsewhere. In a world of locked rooms the man with the key is king, and honey you should see me in a crown. Your version of good is not absolute. It's vain and arrogant and sentimental. If you're waiting for me to become all that, I'm going to be here for a long time yet. There are some in Heaven that believe, despite all his mistakes, Castiel's heart was always in the right place. I think, too much heart was always Castiel's problem. Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss with gaze back into you. The truth is this: My love for you is the only empire I will ever build. When it falls, as all empires do, my career in empire building will be over. I will retreat to an island. I will skulk about the private libraries and public parks. I will fold the clean clothes. I will wash the dishes. I will never again dream of having the whole world. Tomorrow is promised to no one but I insist upon my past. I am entitled to that, it's mine. Love implies anger. The man who is angered by nothing cares about nothing. You have no responsibility to live up to what other people think you ought to accomplish. I have no responsibility to be like they expect me to be. It's their mistake, not my failing. No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true. Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things that a man needs to believe in the most: that people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; that love, true love, never dies. No matter if they're true or not, a man should believe in those things because those are the things worth believing in. Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art, like the universe itself. It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things with give value to survival. Children are not only innocent and curious but also optimistic and joyful and essentially happy. They are, in short, everything adults with they could be. We all do things we desperately wish we could undo. Those regrets just become part of who we are, along with everything else. To spend time trying to change that, well, it's like chasing clouds. |
