This is a modern story of Jack and Elizabeth , 2016, moving through life, and hopefully finding love along the way. I have enjoyed the modern day stories that have been posted, and thought I would try my hand at one as well. I hope you enjoy it!

A modern story... Jack and Elizabeth dated all through college. Unfortunately their respective dreams pulled them apart. Years have passed & they have attempted to move on. Little do they know but they are closer to rekindling those emotions than they are aware. Sadly, I feel that Carson, although maybe a likeable fellow, may get in between Jack and Elizabeth in S4. Time will tell!

Jack returns from the Northern Territories just before Christmas and lots of surprises are in store. This follows J&E through marriage and has them delving into young parenthood. (This fic was started prior to S5 starting)

What if there were only women and children left in Hope Valley after the mine disaster? Elizabeth is not just a school teacher but trying to keep the town afloat. Constable Jack Thornton is assigned to investigate a possible crime in the town. This is Hope Valley with a big twist.

My story picks up from after the wedding in season five and goes into what an alternate life. Elizabeth Thatcher the School teacher of Hope Valley had just gotten married to Jack Thornton the towns Constable and Mountie. They celebrated their special day with their friends and the rest of the town. They are now known as Jack and Elizabeth Thornton. This will be about their life.

It is the middle of December and the Thornton's are returning home to Hope Valley from one of Jack's lengthy assignments. Trying to beat the arrival of the newest member of the Thornton family, and what seems to be a potential snow storm, Jack and Elizabeth struggle to make it back home to be with their loved ones for Christmas. Will they make it?
