Darth Vader didn't save Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi. Now blind and less than human, Luke Skywalker goes by a different name as he serves the citizens of the Empire at Darth Vader's side. His plan is to survive as long as he can and protect his family from the Emperor who keeps them all imprisoned.

The ending that Return of the Jedi would have had if Darth and Luke had a bit more good sense.

When a mission goes horribly wrong Luke flies into the path of an Imperial star destroyer and is nearly killed. Without any help, he reaches to the one person that can help him, His father Darth Vader.

Anakin Skywalker has destroyed the Sith and has saved his son. Redeemed in the eyes of the Force he is ready to accept his fate.
