![]() Author has written 24 stories for Dynasty Warriors, Mortal Kombat, Maple Story, Final Fantasy XI, Naruto, Fate/stay night, Star Wars, and Mass Effect. A soul of a writer within, He mocks the norm with a broad grin; Ecnal his name, Satire his game, A crusader in the name of the word 'happy', Rather than angst-ridden norms oh-so-crappy; And with his fingers at keyboard poised, He typed, his opinion voiced... Pen Name: Ecnal Nogardnap Real name: Tim Soo (be warned! Solicitors or solicitors that claim they are not solicitors asking for items such as bank account numbers, telephone numbers, etc. will be shooed!) Age: 21 this year at the time of this update. (will update annually) Hobbies: Reading, writing, playing video games, hanging out with friends, cartoons, and lately this year, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Genres I'm interested in: Star Wars, Mortal Kombat, Dynasty Warriors, FFXI, Maple Story (but I don't play it anymore), lots more that I am unable to write something for. Greatest ambition: To get a story I'm writing published, turned into a comic/manga, and then turned into a cartoon/anime! Realistic Ambition: Something to do with commercialism. Amateur writer. List of quotes I like put up for no real reason: By Winston Churchill: "Never, never, never, never give up." "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." "All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in simple words: freedom, justice, honour, duty, mercy, hope." "The truth is incontrovertible. Panic may resent it, ignorance may deride it, malice may distort it, but there it is." "For myself, I am an optimist — it does not seem to be much use being anything else." By Mahatma Gandhi: "You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." "I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent." "Hope is eternal - Its worship never goes in vain." Something I made up myself (added in September 2008) "Critics are like vultures. At their noblest they help clean landscapes of disgusting worthless filth. That doesn't change the fact that the bad ones are disgusting scavengers who would pick at a dying animal." "Critics are also like fire. At their best, they provide warmth and forge products to become stronger. At their worst, they burn and destroy everything they touch." (update) Now with quotes! w00t w00t! Hi all! My name is Tim (or Timothy, or Timmy, but NEVER Timtam), I'm from Malaysia, one heckuva nice place to live (stupid as some of us can get)! I'm full of opinions and frankly, sometimes I can't keep certain ones to myself...Always DID hate that about me sometimes. Anyways, I'm generally a nice guy. I'm nice to my friends and I try to be civil to people I interact with, though the latter sometimes fails. My sense of humour can range from the sophisticated (i.e. Frasier), to the regular (i.e. Friends) and to the plain weird (i.e. Johnny Bravo, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, etc.) Of course, if you are well acquainted with my humourous works, you should know that in humour the fourth wall means nothing to me! Reality means nothing to me! Angst means nothing to me! NOTHING IS SACRED! NOTHING! BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Right, enjoy the show. =D Reviewers who like my stories/submissions are appreciated, though if you have dubious reasons like "OMFG I HATE SIMA YI TOO!" when I simply said something like "Sima ain't bad but Pang Tong is better" then I might doubt you a bit. Critics who are a bit of both might not be welcome, but are valued nontheless...In due time, I admit. And flamers? Well, if they can provide sufficient justification, I won't hate them...As much as those OTHER types of flamers...(prepares to deploy killer rabbits) Yeah, I'm a bit petty sometimes too...=P I will always do my best to reply to signed reviews, whether it is a good one or bad one. After all, 'tis better to have received a personal reply from a no-name author than to have received an impersonal thank you note with the signature of a more famous author! Remember, my dear viewers, you matter! But not to the point that I become your personal doormat! I won't tolerate getting trampled on in terms of 'Oh, he's updating slowly even though he gave us a warning! Let us bash him because he is not giving us free entertainment!' or 'Oh! You're ignoring your "duty" to the very readers you voluntarily write stories for for free!' and other such selfish rubbish. (A.N.: Snotty reviewers that think that way, that authors have an obligation to them, are WRONG. They only prove they are to be ignored with their selfishness.I saw them in a Soul Calibur fic reviews page, how the writer 'lost their respect' for 'forgetting his duties' with the fanfic. Writers that are under the opression of them who happen to be reading this, rise up and take hold of your own talents!) Please don't expect me to update my stories frequently. I'm not a very hardworking writer, writing only when I feel like it. However, if you can understand, then I'm really really really really grateful! Hope you enjoy my stories/whatevers! If you have any queries, drop me a line via e-mail! Oh, and because many people seem to do it, here is a list of me favourites and future project ideas that I think would be worthy of writing out... mbriscoe99 is one of the best action/adventure as well as other aspects authoress I've seen since my starting in this site, and all from one story! 'The Storm Warrior', her pet project, happens to be insanely deep and good with an intriguing character and the introduction/imagining of various existing ones. Take a look at it! If you like Dian Wei, even better! Z Star The Hidden Dragon, an incredible poet and authoress. She is fully capable of handling various different types of genres, be they romance, drama, or comedy as seen in her highly sucessful DW Poetry and is branching out in a well-done and original introduction to OCs. She likes GN/SSX, but knows Liu is a good guy, THE main selling point which caught my eye in the first place. Also, Z Star has fics in various other genres besides Dynasty Warriors which I, admittedly, haven't read. They all sound great, though! ALSO look out for her Avatar fic(s)! hiphopd doesn't exactly follow your basic fic ideas, and I admittedly only follow his SC fics, but you should take a look, they're pretty good. You might not be blown away in an instant, but it'll leave at least some taste in your mind, somehow! And don't forget his MK Wrestling fic! THAT was a good one! Mac-daddy Drop, baby! Verdin is a new one, a talented, deep and descriptive authoress, despite the fact she has just one (allbeit very sombre yet sweet) FFIX story. Read it! You don't need to know the game as the characters are wonderfully descriptive, though I'll bet it just makes it better! She ALSO has a new fic about Lu Xun, a small bittersweet one! Look forward to anything else from her! Its bound to be good, in my opinion! Oh. And keep an eye out for that idea of her's on a Liu/SSX story! It should be great! Vivli is more known for her FFXI fics (the online game I haven't played but saw) but she's REALLY good at them. She already churned out four large adventures and a one-shot and her latest work is in progress. She's got a lot of other things I'm not really gonna bother with as I don't understand them, admittedly, but you should take a look. The FFXI fics work on their own because they're like a fantasy story and you don't need to understand ANYTHING about FFXI (though it helps). Alexander Windsilver is a pal of mine. He may not be writing anymore, but you could take a look if Digimon and/or Medabots is/are your thing. PRTFCSI is my cousin and she's a damn good author (or at least co-author), although I know diddly squat on Time Rangers and CSI. Her fics have a good sense of mystery and she has mastered the dark art of cliffhangers. NOOOOOOOOOO! |
