My take on what the S9:12 BB episode "My Brother's Keeper" **could** have been with a lot of additional Frank angst and a little Jamie whump thrown in even though I did appreciate BB's effort. Spoilers for the episode contained within and more than a few substantial twists interwoven from the original storyline.

Aragorn and Legolas are beginning to become friends, but not everyone in Mirkwood looks kindly on this, or upon they young human ranger. When Legolas' life is threatened, Aragorn is the one person available who knows how to save him, but will the others listen to him before it is too late?

With a horde of orcs hot on their trail, Aragorn and Legolas take matters into their own hands and are willing to make the sacrifices needed in order to protect the ring bearer. The duo stay behind in an attempt to buy the rest of the fellowship some time to reach Lothlorien. Legolas whump!

A plane crash leaves the team in a struggle to survive and brings about long-term repercussions, especially for Callen. ***FINALLY COMPLETE***

What was meant to be a relaxing escape turns deadly when Legolas is injured protecting Aragorn. In the aftermath, Aragorn questions his worth and a confrontation between the two leads to greater understanding and a strengthened friendship.

Not always the best intentions give the best results, and a hurt G is going to learn it the hard way. The danger is not over, but a series of misunderstandings put in jeopardy Callen and Sam's friendship and in a precarious balance the work at the unit.
