There was a escape pod. when he got down to it he saw a pofed gem. It seems to be a old escape pod seeing as it looked nothing like pardot's old one. when he finally opened it he found a gem similar to his gem he thought it could be a rose quartz. When he picked it up it began to glow like his and a pink energy formed around his gem and into the one he touched. Then it formed a exact copy of his mom, then he asked who she was and she said steven I am your mother. ( Darth Vader and luke for those who are fellow star wars fans) Then he flipped out and started asking how this happened then she said that what he touched was a unfermented gem like what the implanters put in the earth. So when he touched it absorbed his base form which was her. Without harming his abilities. As a half gem his abilities finally got mastered. (When he got back to the Temple) He says guys you will never guess what happened today. then they all say what was it all lazy like. Then he says he found his mother. then they all basically flipped. After they all settled down rose Waked in and they all ran up and hugged her and started to ball their eyes out. Then rose said she missed them so much. And they all asked how this happened. After she said that she formed out of a new gem. That steven found all said how did steven react she said he flipped out.
