Then he finds out that he's apparently a part of a pure-blood nobility he's never heard of; he's Lord Potter and Lord Black. Unfortunately, that revelation's come too late for him to be a reformer. All Harry wants to do is tear down the system and salt the earth.

After Voldemort's downfall, fifteen year old Harry and Draco are kidnapped and tortured for three weeks by vengeful Death Eaters. After their rescue they are taken in by their potions' professor. Draco struggles with the trauma as well as his parents' betrayal, Harry is haunted by past abuse in addition to the torture, and Severus seeks to help them.

A Dark Protector rescues Harry from the abyss that he has only ever known. When Severus gets to Harry he isn't what they would have previously hoped. Life hasn't been kind to him, will Harry take to the magical world or will he always fear everything around him? Either way, Harry had a long way to go before they could determine this.

AU. Harry Apparates at nine years old and attracts the attention of a Death Eater who takes him into a whole, new, dangerous world—one where the Lord Voldemort rules and his parents fought on the wrong side of the war, but also one where he is valued and taught to use his magic. Harry grows up neither Dark nor Light in an increasingly grey world.

Dumbledore, in order to negotiate the vampires joining his order, gives Harry over (to Severus) not caring what harm would befall the teenager. Creature inheritance - Severus as a vampire. The first war was won by Lord Voldemort. Harry, mercilessly used for his abilities by the rebels as a child, lives unnoticed as an assumed squib at Hogwarts. When an attack of the rebels endangers the Hogwarts students, his abilities are revealed, bringing him into the spotlight. With Dark Lords and Slytherins stalking him, and rebels trying to kidnap him, what should he do?

Harry has always wished for someone to care, for a family of his own. On his birthday, he finds out that a certain Potions Master is his father, but Severus has just settled into life with his other son. Voldemort discovers his human horcrux and takes control of wizarding Britain. Harry is allowed to live though it's a knife-edged journey.
