Imagine Lisbon is in on Jane's plot to trick Red John and Lorelei in Las Vegas. How might that have changed their paths, both to true love and to Red John? Romance/Drama/Humor/Jisbon. 'And I finally figured it out.'"

"When this is over, do you want to fall in love again?" she asks. He looks at her strangely. "Your question is flawed," he says, and doesn't expand further. Only later does it occur to her that maybe he is already in love.

"And then I would have asked if I could kiss you, if I could love you, if I could spend my life trying to make you happy. Because I'd been thinking about doing all those things for the past two years—well, longer than that, really—and I'd finally realized that I was irrevocably in love with you." A variation on Blue Bird.

What would have happened if Lisbon had bailed Jane out after getting arrested in Vegas and not Lorelei? Here's my take on what might have occurred in 4x24 in place of what actually did. Multichapter. Reviews, as ever, are much appreciated. Finally complete!

We don't get to choose what happens to us. We don't always get the chance to choose who we love, or the direction that our lives will take. But sometimes, sometimes we get to make a choice that stands for something that matters.

Red John is dead but his final act has destroyed the team. Five years later Lisbon has to work with them again when a new killer steps into the wings. Now she has to face Jane and his betrayal along with the mistakes she made and the sins she committed as well. Will they learn to forgive each other? Jisbon NOW REVISED!

A multichapter that starts a week or two after Silver Wings of Time (6.17). A person from Jane's past unexpectedly surfaces during a case, providing Lisbon with some much needed insight. (Departs from canon, but eventual Jane/Lisbon.) The final chapter 16 is now up and the story is complete!

Post 6x21: in anticipation of the season finale, I've concocted this little slice of Jisbon. Please, don't rush. There's plenty to go around. Please note the rating change, readers, it's there for a reason!
