Andy and Sam are suspended and now it's all about being normal. Plus spending time together and not getting bored.

This is a multi-chapter story set in the post-5.11 world. Most of the main characters make an appearance at some point, and each chapter contributes to an overall theme that will be clearer after the first chapter. My apologies for the rather vague summary . . . .

AU - The summer Andy is 21 she is sent to stay with her estranged Grandmother in St. Catherine's. She learns a lot more than she bargained for, and meets someone who changes her life forever. Rated T... for now.

Set a few months after 2x08. Andy decides it's time for her to get her life back on track, time for a fresh start. A take on how Andy and Sam might have come to be together had the UC op never existed, but with the fun drama that we're used to. A story where Sam isn't Andy's TO, they aren't partners, they aren't friends, infact they haven't met at all. Read on to find out more...

As he lay bleeding in the ambulance, Sam told Andy that theirs was "a pretty good story". While their future is unwritten, here is a mostly descriptive and not very dialogue-heavy attempt at getting into Sam's mind in the closing scenes of Season 4 Episode 13. It takes us to moments and memories of their past and present, with tiny hints of what might be ahead.

"So you milk it. You play the 'I got shot and you should feel bad' card. All the time. If you'd known that card was going to be so valuable, maybe you would've stepped in front of a bullet sooner."

AU - Sam is UC, and meets Andy at a laundromat. Can't reveal who is, but somehow she sees underneath his mask better than any hardened criminals... and he likes it. Who knew their lives would cross paths outside of those laundromat walls.

Sam and Andy get stuck in the basement of an abandoned building after Andy gets seriously injured. Set about six months after Andy's break up with Luke.

Andy goes to see Sam in hospital, but someone else is already there. Post-ep for You Can See the Stars. Angsty angst with a side order of Romance. No-one dies. I promise.

Sam thinks he's at the lowest he can possibly be when Celery hands him a small, black silk bag.

A one-shot set in mid to late season 4. A frustrated Andy shows up at Sam's house on a rainy Friday night. A Sam/Andy centric story.

An AU fic where Andy and Sam meet again 7 years after a chance encounter - their backstory told through flashbacks.

"Because it's not enough for someone to know me," he says at last. "I don't think there's a point if someone's not you." Sam/Andy, with platonic appearances by Nick and Marlo; based on episodes through 4x07 and season-long promo clips. One-shot.

This story begins right after Hearts and Sparks and continues to show Andy and Sam's journey towards each other.

Andy sighed and closed her eyes. 'I thought I was doing the right thing.' 'The right thing' Sam asked. 'You left without as much as an explanation.' 'I'm sorry,' she said. 'Yeah, so am I,' he said before leaving her alone. AU set during season one. Sam comes back from his undercover operation, to find out things at the division changed.

AU - McSwarek - They were married, now they're not. Sam's a cop, Andy's a nurse, and she's engaged to Luke. "Mom was going to tell me something last week, but then she had to pull some double shifts at the hospital, and I think she forgot." "And what 'thing' was she going to tell you?" Sam quirks, truly intrigued. "How you guys met."
