Author has written 2 stories for Sherlock. Hello, Still finding my way around this site so didn't realise I should probably have posted something here before publishing my story. Ooopsies. I have been writing as a hobby for a while but decided that I needed to get some feedback and constructive criticism from other people who like to read and write, hence this account. Not really into very graphic material, violence or sex, more into exploring emotional or psychological trauma, but if the story calls for the former to get to the latter well don't hold your breath, it still probably won't be that graphic, although I do want to explore more mature themes. ( Or is that the slippery slope?). I do like to surprise people and will try to experiment so be warned. A smidgen about me Have a daughter who is amazing and who will one day actually become Empress of the Universe but she will never be taller than me, never I tell you... I loved my job, I spend money for a living just how much better could it be? But "they" don't want to spend money anymore *sigh, "they" want to save it instead which is a damn sight more boring... Had a beautiful grumpy Scottish love of my life who went on ahead unexpectedly to the "next great adventure" two years ago and is so going to get a walloping when I finally get there too. Then he gets another one when his daughter turns up in the next hundred or so years. Top Tip ..don't ever piss off a Celtic girl, they'll take it out of your hide even in the afterlife Live in Wales, the land of song and BBC Sherlock (and why wouldn't you be singing if you had that man in your sights...) One last thing, can I say a huge thanks and that I really really appreciate anyone who takes the time and effort to read and review my work, it means so much to me because that's why I am putting my stories on here. I need to learn and grow as a writer and will do that with your help. But, (there's always a but isn't there!) if you don't like the story or the premise behind it, please don't carry on reading it and then tell me you don't like it. Constructive criticism is about making something better, if you don't like the story itself I can't make that better because it boils down to what you like or dislike. Grammar, character development, dialogue even description I can change, if you have suggestions for how to take it forward that's fabulous, and I will shamelessly use your ideas if you are kind enough to leave me any, but I won't change the premise behind the story because that's what interested me enough to actually start writing in the first place. If I'm not interested I don't write and that's not constructive. Sherlock's Pet was going to be a one-shot, but after you lovely people have been so encouraging and complimentary, I have started thinking about chapter two... So if you fancy a chat about the story or life the universe and the number 42 please feel free to PM me, would love to hear from you. Life is too short to procrastinate, do at least one thing you love today. FutileRes x |
