His eyes are rather sensitive to the noonday sun. He stands at 55 inches tall and is rather self-conscious about his height but will likely only reach 5'6" as an adult as shortness runs on his mother's side of the family with his mother only being 5'0" and his father being 5'8" tall. He carries his mother's Italian accent with his father's baritone vox. His hair is shaggy and curls at the roots, extending down to his shoulders. History: It was on a chilly mid-February night that Castor Orion Fenn, a Vampire Noble, and Sofia Abigail Fenn nee Scopel, a Muggleborn Witch, welcomed Koi Atlas Fenn into the world at eleven thirty in the evening. He was the third child born into the Fenn family, having two older half-siblings, his half-brother being four years older and his half-sister being two years older than him. Despite being the Scion of Fenn, his father raised him in politics even though his older brother will become the next Lord of the Noble House of Fenn. His maternal uncle made Koi the next in line for Lordship of the Scopel House due to his only son dying in childhood and his uncle being unable to have any more children due to spending time within a wizarding prison. A couple months after his sixth birthday, he and his friend were playing football in a field that had a blind curve nearby. Koi accidently kicked the ball too hard into the road and his friend, a Muggle, ran into the road after the ball. Koi vividly remembers his friend stooping down to get the ball...a screech of tires...a scream from his friend...sunlight glinting on metal...the squeal of tires as the driver sped away. It is something that still haunts his nightmares, the guilt eating at him. When Koi was nine, his mother got a job as a Professor in a Muggle University so the family immigrated to the States. Koi continued to go to elementary school until he turned eleven and was accepted into Ilvermorny. It was something his parents' didn't think would happen for him in the States with Koi being a half-vampire and so they were excited and pleased that he got to go learn magic. Personality: Walking into Koi's room, one would find it decked out in black and forest green colors with the night sky painted on the ceiling and a mural of a jungle with stalking leopards, monkeys swinging from trees, beautiful macaws in flight and a boa curled around a tree limb. A book called Introductory Medicine, posters of the human body, the muscle and nervous system, and the skeletal structure would be adorned on one wall. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as well as introductory books on Potions and Herbology would just some of the books adoring the bookshelves around the walls of Koi's bedroom at home. There are also Muggle fantasy and adventure novels scattered among the few magical textbooks within his room. Not many children know what they want to be as adults but Koi already knows he wants to become a Healer. It is a dream he had since he was a boy of six years, when he saw his best friend, a Muggle, get injured when they were playing football. The result was that his friend endured a broken leg, a concussion and a few broken ribs. Koi felt guilt over his friend's injuries as he was the one who wanted to play in the field by the blind curve and it took him six months to realize he couldn't have known that someone would take the corner at a high speed. A studious child, his older half-siblings joke that Koi spends all his time studying and not enough time having fun. Whether it is due to guilt for his friend's accident or because he just enjoys knowledge, is uncertain but Koi tends to be seen in the library or out at the paddock with the griffons and Abraxan Horses that his family raises. He also loves all manner of creatures, mundane or magical is of no consequence, they are all treated fairly and equally by Koi. He loves to garden and tends the garden at home, growing both magical plants and muggle flowers, herbs and medicinal plants that catch his fancy. He really likes cherry blossom trees, something his sister teases him about. The library is his sanctuary and refuge, a place he can go to when he wants to be alone and get some peace from the world around him. He doesn't like being the center of attention or flying as he is frightened of heights, something that surprises his vampire relatives given the very few ways to kill them. Secretly he is glad that he is not going to be the next Head of the Noble House of Fenn but is equally nervous about being the next Head of the Ancient House of Scopel. Clumsy and shy, he prefers to hide within the library or behind his family, then to get into a confrontation or a fight. Gentle and quiet, he is rather intelligent and will prove his cunning as he gets older. Loyalty will always be to his family and possible close friends, though if he is betrayed by one he loves, he will never forgive that person or allow them a second chance. His great-great-great-great-great grandson, Abraham Pymer would become Felicity's father who in turn would marry a member of the Kersey family, a woman named Constance Kersey. The Pymer family immigrated to Pennsylvania after landing in Massachusetts where they set up a farm, Johnathan's daughter Katherine becoming a teacher while Patience would get married at fourteen. Although Johnathan couldn't read himself, he made sure that his children were able to read, write and do simple arithmetic. Thomas would enlist in the army at fifteen on the side of the French and go on to fight within the American Revolution later on. Gideon would remain on the farm helping his father while Thomas was off fighting in battles. The Kersey family was originally founded by Barnabas Kersey, a merchant and scholar. His wife Martha had given him four children; Silence, Virginia, Elijah and Emeline Kersey before she passed away in childbirth with their fifth child who was named Fredrick and buried in the same plot as Martha. Barnabas married after a year of mourning his first wife, this time with a woman named Isabella Mare who gave him three sons and a daughter; Enoch, Zadok, Homer, and Charlotte. Isabelle was the daughter of a farmer and the pair would remain married until their deaths years later. Zadok would come for a visit to see the new nation of America and fall in love with the country, buying a home in Georgia and becoming a doctor. Felicity herself grew up on the same farm that her great-great-great-great-great grandfather had bought and owned until his death, being raised around all manner of livestock. Her grandmother told her stories about her own days at Ilvermorny as a Pukwudgie member while her grandfather was a member of Wampus. She grew to have an appreciation for where her meat came from, having helped to raise the animals that would nourish their plates at mealtime and grow the crops that would feed both their cow and horses as well as the family. The original farmhouse remains standing in its exact location, her maternal grandparents living within it while the rest of the family lives within the manor that was built generations later as the Pymer family grew in prestige and prominence in Pennsylvania. Born the eldest of three children as the son of a chief, Kuruk was raised with an appreciation for both cultures and the land and spirits that make up the world around him. His maternal grandfather was a wizard, yet Kuruk never suspected himself of having magic, believing instead that he was possessed with evil spirits. It was a surprise to find out that he was a wizard upon receiving his acceptance letter to Ilvermorny. As the firstborn son, his father has already said Kuruk will become the next chief of their village, something that makes Kuruk nervous. His mother's brother was a member of the famous Navajo Code Walkers which was a surprise to the teen as well. It took months for Kuruk to get his parents to agree to allow him to attend Ilvermorny, his grandfather's input helping greatly in that regard. Attending Ilvermorny was the first time that Kuruk had been away from his family and tribe. Being at Ilvermorny is an adventure and a chance to escape the poverty of the reservation his family lives on. Personality: In his blood and soul beats the heart of a warrior, yet he also carries the loving gentle nature of a healer. Kuruk has a love of the earth and will seek the spirits' guidance for what to do when he is troubled or lost. His parents expect him to find a wife at Ilvermorny and marry her after graduation, bringing her back to their home. It is a lot of pressure on the teenager but he doesn't want to disappoint his family, though he wonders what he would have to offer a witch. Kuruk has his mother's gentle nature when around those he cares for, bold and at the same time brash, a bit overly confident in his abilities. He will protect those he loves until his dying breath and gets frustrated if he doesn't get something right away…this could be because of the pressure he is under by his parents. Kuruk is known to wander the halls at night or head outside to look at the stars and get some peace and quiet from the day to day activities of life inside Ilvermorny. He can't help worrying about his family back home and is protective of those he loves. Amber's life only got worse with the deaths of the people she considered her parents. Upon the elderly man's death, Amber was taken in by a 'friend' of the couple who turned out to be an abusive drunk who saw Amber as nothing more than a servant and it was in this way that Amber gained the scar on her hand and became mute.
