I'm Yasmin, and I'm what you call a 'Phantom Phanatic' lol

The Phantom of the Opera is, I believe, the greatest story of all time. It is a story of love, obsession, growing up and gives us an insight into a criminally insane mind. And whats intriguing is, we are drawn at least I am to man who is supposed to be the typical villain. The Phantom, Erik.

I tend to envision the Gerard Butler Phantom in my stories, as it was the first adaption of the story I ever saw. I also use elements of Kay in my fiction, and sometimes I can veer so off the main plot and create my own adaption.

I never use Christine Daae in my stories. In the current phanphic I am writing now, she is referred to as Christina Jonasdotter since it is believed Leroux based her character on Christine Nilsson, I used Nilsson's birth name and is not actually present. I'm not too fond of Christine Daae, I see her as a frightened, immature little girl who cannot accept Erik as he is.

I also have a firm belief that the Phantom of the Opera is based on a true story. Every fact given in Leroux's story is true, and therefore I have reason to believe it so.
