Author has written 1 story for NCIS: New Orleans. I began writing when my kids were in kindergarten and have never stopped. I would write after they went to bed, mostly new episodes of my favorite TV shows. That way I didn't have to make up the characters, just plug in my story line. I've taken many creative writing classes--again at night--and joined a writing group. The group fizzled out, but I was lucky enough to keep the instructor. She has been a wonderful help/editor throughout the years. I became interested in the Civil War era when I read a book about the women who disguised themselves as soldiers in order to fight. Some joined to stay with their husbands/boyfriends, others to escape an arranged marriage, and others for the same reason as most men at the beginning--adventure. I continue to write my two-book novel. The first book spans 1861-to late 1862, and the second, 1863-1865. I hope to have them finished soon, but then I've been saying that for years. The first story I've published on fan fiction is called :The School of Life" is based on the TV show NCIS New Orleans. I picked that show because--as you could guess--historical events that surround the city, and because I needed to find some clarity in life's trials. My sister-in-law told me about Reiki, and it seemed like a natural extension of my Christian beliefs. Why, for instance, were specific people chosen to live and die during the Civil War? Why were the men on the Arizona there at that time and place in history? Reiki is more about the life energy that surrounds us all. A universal of enormous energy, and the power to heal. |
