![]() Author has written 13 stories for Death Note, and Legend of Zelda. About Me LelouchYagami is Dead! I have been reincarnated as AkiyukiNishimaru I am a huge fan of stories in general, whether they are action, adventure, drama, tragedy, thriller or any in between. I take great liberties in making my stories as faithful to the source material and to the characters. I want to be among the crowd that makes excellent fanfiction that can match the original work. I am a huge anime fan (as seen below) and commonly marathon entire shows within set periods of time. I hope to write a huge slew of fanfiction. Currently I am starting with Death Note as it is the easiest for me at this time as I am the most familiar with the characters in that anime. I have plenty of other fanfiction ideas for other anime and other universes as well. I am a huge fan of action movies and movies in general and commonly enjoy films by The Wachowski's, Guillermo del Toro and David Fincher. I am currently really into Westerns, particularly ultraviolent Revisionist Westerns. I am a huge Metalhead and fan of aggressive Hip Hop and my favorite anime opening song is What's Up People by Maximum the Hormone and One Reason by Fade. I enjoy both deep and mindless entertainment. I am a huge fan of spicy food, particularly Mexican, Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese. My favorite books are The Catcher In The Rye, The Hunger Games Trilogy and Cloud Atlas. I am a generally enthusiastic person who in confident and outgoing. I enjoy writing my own stories and sharing them with others. I watch anime in both English and Japanese but mostly prefer English as I grew up with it and it features more recognizable voice actors. I hope I can be among the greats on this websites. My favorite Anime Couple is Akiyuki Takehara and Haru Nishimura from Xam'd: Lost Memories. What I don't like in fanfiction Draco In Leather Pants - You can make a villainous character more sympathetic but you must make it believable. You can look at a character more sympathetically but you should not whitewash the characters actions at all, treat the harsh reality of the actions instead of making them instantly forgivable. If you are going to look at the character more sympathetically, use things from the canon that you can look at in a more sympathetic manner. Don't simply make things up to justify a characters actions, they shouldn't be justified. I look at Light Yagami in a more sympathetic light (no pun intended) but I don't whitewash his actions at all, he is a guy who had good intentions but fell under the influence of the power given to him. Sure I can turn him into a good guy but I have to do it realistically and in a manner that respects the source material, give him a reason to regret his actions. That is why I love I'm Sorry by FreakshowCentral so much, it redeems Light realistically, though the story is very unrealistic. This trope is used worse in terms of shipping, if you have a reason to ship two characters that are considered unshippable, make it realistic. Ron The Death Eater - No just no, it is a total disgrace to make an otherwise good character into a monster. It can be done realistically but it is very difficult and is hard to justify. This trope only really works for comedy as it adds to the slapstick. It is a case of exaggerating a negative trait of a character to a ridiculous extent but it usually doesn't work at all. This is worse than Draco In Leather Pants. I have never seen a character demonized in fanfiction done right. Mary Sue/Stu - Making a character perfect to the point to being annoying is well annoying. A perfect character is total uninteresting in many ways and is just a way of idolizing a character. It is better to have a flawed but interesting character instead of a perfect and uninteresting character. Out of Character - If you don't have a reason for the character to act differently from the canon counterpart, don't write this kind of character. It is a disgrace for the character and misses the point of what made the character so good in the first place. If your version of the character is different from the canon counterpart it must be explored and given a reason to be like this. If I want Light Yagami to be regretful broken man, I must give him a reason for being that way, like he ruined his life and has to go into hiding, make it make sense. It isn't Out of Character if the character is given a reason for being this way. Look at Light Yagami at the end of the anime, a broken man with many regrets, if he was given a second chance at life, he would use that chance to live his life to the fullest and actually be a cool nice good guy. If you have a character develop like that it is not Out of Character, it is Character Development. What I Like In Fanfiction For Want Of A Nail Fics - I like What Could Of Been stories that tell what would happen if something changed in canon. It is interesting and can expand on the characters. It adds to an already amazing story if we can look at the what could of been. These stories can match the quality of the canon if written well enough. Hurt/Comfort - If you can do a convincing job of making me feel sorry for the character like in I'm Sorry by MagicMan01 it can give me an emotional story that is at the same time very enjoyable. These stories are both heartwarming and heartwrenching, they give off many feelings which is why I love them so much. Reality Ensues - I like things being played realistically, sure the cliches in entertainment are great but if you play it realistically, it is more interesting and more investing. It takes a good risk in storytelling. There are so many points of view for the characters and stories that who these things are could be anything. TV Tropes is trying to objectify fiction with one bias point of view. They try to find the absolute truth in fiction when they are forgetting that fiction is meant to be interpreted not objectified. What they are currently doing is the death of fiction all together.
