Wow so I'm finally creating an account and working on my first piece of fanfiction. We shall see how it goes because I'm new at this, but I need practice writing for my college English classes and for the MCAT which I will be taking in a few years. I am currently a undergrad studying Business with aspirations of becoming a doctor. I really don't care if you flame me or not as at the very least it means people are reading my story. I love constructive criticism though and would prefer it. My updates may be slow as I love to read stories on this site and I am a college student who has duties to organizations and does volunteer work. So when it comes to fanfiction most of the stuff I read and everything I write will be in the Harry Potter-verse. I have many problems with the books and I hold to the fact that the last true book in the series was the third book. After that the series went into sharp decline. What happened to the Harry capable of learning a very advanced piece of charm work his third year, successfully cast a spell after just seeing it in memory, and pieced together all of the info in his first year? Where is the Harry that everyone predicted to be great? JKR messed up this series in my opinion. Ships I like Harry with no one, Harry/Hermione (if done properly), Harry/Tonks, and Harry/OFC. I do not like slash as far as Harry is concerned or Albus for that matter. I don't care what the stuck-up author states Albus is not gay. He is asexual that is he doesn't desire men or women only knowledge. He is a true genius and my favorite character. Also, be warned I will disregard almost everything JKR says about the book that was not in the series (the first three books) whenever I feel like it. If you don't like it then go read something else. I hate the ships of Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione (this doesn't make sense extremely smart+dumb ass=dead Ron through untraceable means). As for Harry and Ginny I could write an entire book dedicated as to why this is the dumbest pairing of all time. Now with that being said if you wish to rewrite the whole series then I don't mind these pairings one bit if it fits with the new series. Favs Ok, the duel between Tom and Albus in book five hands down the best scene in the entire series. That being said I also loved Harry's death march, the duel in the fourth book between Tom and Harry, Harry pwning Hermione in Potions in book 6, Patronus scene in book 3, and the one scene that almost beats the duel in book five of course I am talking about Albus busting his way out of his office. Albus beat some serious ass in that scene. He took down a bunch of wizards with one spell and left Hogwarts with style. Characterizations In my story, which will hopefully be posted soon, Harry will probably come off a mix of characters. A bit of Artemis Fowl, Albus Dumbledore, House, Alucard, and Lucas Corso. I really enjoy those characters and my plan is to try and mix them into Harry though the best laid plans tend to fall apart when plots are mucking about. Characters change and I will try to alter my plot to change with the characters as they evolve. That being said I hope you enjoy my first attempt at fanfiction. |
