Author has written 31 stories for Ranma, Evangelion, Misc. Anime/Manga, Sailor Moon, Love Hina, Anime X-overs, Dungeon Keeper, Excel Saga, Silent Hill, Matrix, X-overs, and Naruto. I am a fan of various games, anime and such. This gets into a lot of my works. Peh. Like anyone'll read this. Frooty purple toad gooble! See? This'll be up for months and no one'll see it. Furthermore, a lot more of my fanfics that I've tossed out to TFF, mostly weird crackfics and the like, will be joining DKR on my website, while my older works get archived. Oh, and for those asking, yes, I am akun50 on the TFF. -Recently, Yahoo decided to axe all of their Geocities pages. Don't ask me why, but I suppose it had to come some time. Everything from that site has been saved, I just need to find a new place to put it. I'd use this place, but they're not allowing NC-17 works anymore (at least not officially, since a number of people over TFF have remarked at seeing plenty of Yaoi and M-Preg fanfics that have been reported and yet still remain)
Sadly, I wish I could say "I've got tons of stuff, I just haven't updated here." Truth is, my muse is like the worst possible girlfriend. Constantly giving me ideas and such when I don't have any free time and then ignoring me when I've got all the time in the world. Really, it's a bad relationship and I wish I could quit this muse, but unfortunately, she's the only muse I got. That and Fanfiction.net's not exactly on my priority list anymore. You'll also note that I've tossed a lot more "Complete"s on my older stories. My apologies for not doing so earlier. So, what's going on? Here's a comprehensive list: Dungeon Keeper Sailor Moon: Officially Stalled. I've got ideas, but I'm struggling to go forward. I probably also have to go back and revise all chapters if I can get back onto this story. See, the thing is that, if you go too far in the Sailor Moon canon, Sailor Moon becomes like an orbital laser. Go too far back and she's simply not powerful enough to win. And when she's powerful, she's not very good at the smaller stuff. I recall someone likening the "Maboroshi no Guinzuishou" or "Imperial Silver Crystal" to a brick, which is quite apt. There's also the fact that Usagi would need a lot of time and preparations to get used to the fundamental fact that not only are most of earth's defenses useless (or at least extremely inefficient and probably self-defeating) at dealing with the cadre of weapons and units that Dungeon Keeper Ian is going to bring into fights, but there's no real way to bring him down without becoming Queen of Earth. And by that time, would she really be that different from Ian? There's also the fact that I'd started to introduce ideas that I've since decided against, mostly the various allies I was going to bring up to aid the Senshi. If someone else wants to pick this story up, I will state here that I'm all for it. Dungeon Keeper Ukyou: Officially Stalled. I REALLY want to continue this story, but like Dungeon Keeper Sailor Moon, I'm struggling with the way forward. See, I intended DK Ukyou to be a lot darker and dip more into the "SEXY TIMES" than DK Ranma, as Ukyou has no strictly defined moral obligations, nor the same type of honor code that Ranma runs by. There's also the fact that the Mistresses aren't being held back by Ukyou's morality, so it's mostly business as usual, with the exception of the various named knights I'd introduced. They're "interesting", if you get my drift. No, I'm not talking about Tokyo Drifting. Anyway, Dungeon Keeper Ukyou's also in a land that's more fraught with contemptible people and I've found myself struggling to get there. See, I've got a problem writing bad guys, as the more vile I make them, the more I want to immediately have them kicked in the balls and/or face until bones shatter. And Lord Ronin (level 11, the AFK lord who'd already died and lost his keep to evil) was going to be a very VILE man. Ironically enough, he was also going to be the last of the worst of the Lords, but getting TO him is/was the issue. Akane Revised: Complete as far as this version. The part in the ending with Hotaru and Cerl was to spur a cross-dimension adventure that I've completely dropped. Ironically, I want to revise this story. You see, when I first began this story, the idea was less to bash Akane and more to develop her into a person willing to adapt and possibly get up to the Ranma 1/2 standards. Akane, in my opinion, has willfully fallen behind and by the time the Kurumi and Natsumi come along, has virtually lost any drive to be a martial artist (yet, she's fully willing to demand the respect she believes martial artists deserve). In terms of Nerima, she's fully at the bottom of the barrel once Ukyou comes along and rarely afterward shows the drive necessary to catch up. And then immediately loses that drive once the arc ends. This frustrates me. What was probably overly convoluting things was the fact that I wanted the "real" Akane to not only come back, but also to see how much better she could be. This was intended less to bash Akane and more to give her an impetus to actually change for the better. But see, one of the things that I've since thought of was that she might not have been the "real" Akane, but rather a WORSE Akane. I'll come back to the overall idea, but it'll be a different story and I'll be setting up for a completely different person and circumstance. Excel Saga Variation: Complete as far as I'm going to take it. I was writing this with a friend/co-worker who ended up moving across the country and I don't feel right continuing without her input. Anime Dungeon Keeper: Complete as far as I'm going to take it. Was going to be a crack crossover fic, but I knew I wasn't going to follow this up when I stalled on DK Ukyou and DK SM. Cerl Descending: Complete as far as I'm going to take it. I wish I could go back and punch myself in the (MESSAGE REDACTED) for writing this. Looking back, I had no REAL ideas in place for this story when I began to write it and it shows. I'd take it down, except I still find the omakes I produced hilarious (and I kinda hope you do too) and at the very least, I'm hoping someone will take this as a "Writing 101" on what NOT to do with a horror story. Also, I wanted to apologize for being a complete ass about the fact that no one was interested in my horror fixation. In fact, I believe I owe you guys a deeper explanation for why this fanfic even exists. Originally, I was going to reveal Cerl's backstory through this fanfic. Cerl, if you've read Akane Revised, was due a wish and had godly contacts (albeit not in the way one might think as it was very "don't call us, we'll call you"). So, I started toying with the idea of the cult of Silent Hill finding out about this through a ritual of revelation (i.e. the same way they'd been finding Alessa and their other victims) and deciding to lure her there to manipulate her into resurrecting their god. Another idea was that not all of the monsters were actually figments of the imagination. There was someone or something actually going around mutilating people and using the energy of Silent Hill to see what the limitations of "living" were. Also the big reveal was that Cheryl (a different one, not Harry's daughter) was going to be one of Cerl's relatives. I was unsure if I was going to do something trite like have Cheryl kill off Cerl's family to give Cerl impetus to murder her in return or just make her a flatout fanatical lunatic, who wanted to see a god born. Cheryl was more than willing to be the guiding hand for Cerl, even if she was doomed to die horribly (much like Claudia, only sans any real sympathy towards Cerl). Overall, the story was intended to reveal Cerl's various issues and essentially bring her down from the Mary Sue-ish status she had in Akane Revised. But I was doing a crappy job of all of that. Comedians like myself (but, obviously, not all comedians) have a desire to really affect an audience. And sometimes, making you guys (or myself) laugh isn't enough. And sadly, you had to deal with a crappy fanfic where I wasn't really giving the story the proper treatment it deserved as I was trying to be too mysterious and ended up just being confusing. If I ever return to this idea, I will endeavor to give it and you guys something better than this turdfest. |
