Hmm, you want to know about me? It's really not all that exciting. 41...female...mom...lover of women, L&O:SVU, L&O, Grey's Anatomy, Rizzoli & Isles, Silk Stalkings (the Chris & Rita years), Glee (no judging!), & many more. I detest ignorance, bullying, hatred, bigotry, and the use of the word 'tolerance' when it comes to the LBGT community (and other passions of mine). Why? because 'tolerance', according to Merriam Webster is defined as "sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one's own"; "the act of allowing something"; "the allowable deviation from a standard". Well, see, that just isn't right. Tolerating another lifestyle gives the perception that said lifestyle is wrong and one should tolerate it for the sake of what, keeping peace? No, acceptance is what needs to happen. Acceptance of everyone for the individuals they are and what they bring to the world, no matter how different. Just because something/someone is different doesn't mean it/they are wrong. Ok, now that I have spilled my guts on the proverbial soapbox I think I'm done. Happy & continued writing to all of the fantastic authors on this site, I look forward to reading your work and being transported into another world where the characters we love can be the way we want them to be, not the damn writers, who really should get a fucking clue already.
