Multi-chapter AU that starts right before Jane and Maura start working together. Maura has just moved to Boston to take the Chief Medical Examiner job with her ten year old son. With some help from Maura's son, Jane and Maura meet and start to get to know each other. Their relationship grows from there. Chapter 35 posted.

Detective Rizzoli awakes from a vivid dream that transforms her relationship with her best friend, Dr. Isles. At first Jane is very awkward around Maura after the dream, however slowly becomes curious about the meaning of it.

After the shooting at headquarters, Jane writes a series of letters to Maura. When Maura discovers them, she asks Jane to read them out loud to her. This fic will follow those letters and the changes that happen between Maura and Jane's relationship. Chapters 1-7 are T and Chapter 8 is where the M stuff begins.

AU. Jane's wildly displeased by her new assignment: undercover bodyguard for the contestants on The Bachelor. But one of the women is different from the rest, and getting to know her might just make this whole dumb assignment worth the while.

"What does it feel like?" She asked, seeming to relax as she moved to lay back down beside me resting her head just where my bump started. "It's sort of like butterflies." I started, pursing my lips as I tried to find the right words. "Except weirder."

Jane is a student at St Domenic's school, whereas Maura is the new teacher around. Jane may be the confident one of the pair, but Maura has the experience. With this combination, anything could happen.
