Hey Everyone,

If you have any ideas for my stories IM at touchthesky986. Also for everyone who likes the Outsiders and the movie Sept. 20, 2005 they released the uncut DVD of the movie which from what I understand covers the book from beginning to end (Pony getting jumped in the beginning, Johnny's mom beating him with a broom, getting sick after the rumble, etc . . .) I've seen some pics on S.E. Hinton's site and it looks really good. Just a heads up for everybody. I know I have not updated in a long time but between class, work, and two horses to train in addition to writing for the college paper, I am swamped. But I do promise that The Ride of His Life will be finished as soon as I can, hopefully over Christmas Break. By the way the Outsider quotes are for Victoria.

Darkest Hour = Starts with Pony, Johnny, and Dally at the fire. Pony becomes blind and has to deal with a sense of uselessness. The are some scenes with Socs and stuff like that. Also there is alot of alluding to suicide and an attempted suicide at the end of the story.

The Ride of His Life = Somewhat based on the true story of bull rider Tuff Hedeman. Back in the 90's he drew a bull called Bodacious that almost completly shattered his face. The book does talk about the charcters doing rodeo. In my story Soda draws this bull and same happens to him but Dally thinks it's his fault for getting Soda to ride. Dally's past is uncovered. He tells Two-Bit about how his dad use to beat him and how he was forced to kill him. Dally quits hanging with the gang but pays for Soda's bills with his winnings. That's all I got so far I'll update as I go.

"Juvenile delinquent you're no good!" Darry shouted.

"Get thee hence, white trash," Two-Bit said in a snobbish voice. "I am a Soc. I am the priviledged and the well-dressed. I throw beer blasts, drive fancy cars, break windows at fancy parties."

"And what do you do for fun?" I inquired in a serious, awed voice.

"I jump greasers!" Two-Bit screamed and did a cartwheel.

And with her golden shears in hand, Atropos cut the thread that was my brother's life. "Take from my length!" I begged her, "Tie it to that which you have cut. Shorten mine, not his!" Her siter Clotho, daughter of the night, stayed her hand. "You would do this for another?" she asked. "Yes, for he is precious to me. More precious than my own life." And because she was a sibling too, Clotho took the shorn ends to her staff, and spun them back together again. "Because you have loved, I have done as you ask. But do not ask again, for this is time only borrowed and must be repaid . . . "
