I'm 52 as of this date, but that changes every year in October. I'm divorced, my son is going to be 21 this year (where did the time go), and I live with my 2 cats and cockatiel. Please be kind to me. I appreciate any constructive criticism, as I'm just getting back into writing after a 22 year hiatus. Back in the day when I wrote Pern fanfic, it ran the gamut from weyr life to nc17. It all started when I impressed a blue dragon at RiverCon in Louisville, Kentucky. Ah, those were the days. Um, that would be like 30 some years ago. Yikes! Now I will be writing SG-1 fic. That's my obsession. And, I'm a Sam and Jack shipper. But that may or may not appear in my writing.

I love all things Stargate, Dr. Who, the original Battlestar:Galactica, the new Starbuck, Eureka!, Myth Busters, Buckaroo Bonzai, and stuff I'm sure I've forgotten.

I love mysteries. Specifically Janet Evanovich (all of her stuff), Charlaine Harris (southern vampire series), Elizabeth Peters, and many more too numerous to mention. Iused to do counted cross stitch, but my eyes and hands don't do so well any more. I have an associate of science degree with my major in equine management. I've worked on thoroughbred farms, spent a week working at Churchill Downs on the backside, had horses and trained horses. I miss them.

I worked for the American Red Cross for 7 years as an emt providing emergency first aid at local events and at our state fairgrounds here in Louisville, such as conventions, ball games, and of course the state fair. I Met a lot of great people, and some not so nice people. I did ski patrol at a local ski area for around 6 years. I miss the people but not the nasty driving conditions. Now I work for a large health insurance company adjudicating (paying claims according to benefits) and sometimes take inbound phone calls. I have some rather nasty health issues now, so I tend to be plum tuckered out when I get home from work. But my vow is to try to write a little every day. However, my parents are elderly, and I'm working on my dad's memoirs with him. So sometimes I'm away from it for a week or two. That's life. And of course sometimes I'm under my bed (not really, I can't fit under my bed) hiding from tornados and severe thunderstorms. shrugs

Neuropsych convinced me it was ok to dabble my fingers back in the water and give it a shot. So here I am. I plan on joing Mystery Writers of America some day. And maybe romance writers, but the dues are a little steep. I've got some of their writers advice books though. Mwahaha.

I don't write "Mary Sue" stories, but I like to ad my oc's to the great characters that I don't own.

update // Sorry about the long wait. Ike kicked Kentucky's butt. I had no power for 7 days. And since it came back on, I've been busy with mundane things. Hope you like this chapter. 9/28/08

update // 10/31/08 : I'm very sorry about not posting. My son was in a very bad car wreck Oct 11, and to make it even better his cousin was in a motorcycle accident the same night. My son in Florida and my nephew in Indiana. All semblance of creativity fled. My son still has at least one leg surgery to go, maybe more. And there are details that are private. But I wanted you to know I will continue the story. It's just been a very crazy tough month. I'll be back, but right now real life has all of my attention.
