![]() Author has written 2 stories for Transformers/Beast Wars. A collaboration account between the awesome Elita1Bashers, and the inferior MarySueDevourer and JazzylovesTransformers (luff you guys hehehe) ^.^ Elita1Bashers's space. Hai :D Following Jazzy's lead, I have made the stories Strangers Things and Moonlight Dancing. :) Feel free to drop a PM or whatever. ^.^ In regards to our collaborations, I'm the one who kills everybody. XD I have zero empathy for my characters, which is good, 'cause it means I don't go all Mary-Sue on you guys. I like to shake things up, make them interesting, and I'm willing to adapt and change when I need to. My favourite author...? Don't have one yet. But some awesome people (yes, they are a couple of my reviewers) would be Blackmoonlite and Szahara again. I like any antagonists. ^.^ Or, if the antagonists are old, ugly, or complete nerds, and aren't badass at all? I go for the next closest thing to an antagonist. XD JazzylovesTransformers's space Facebook Page: Information can be obtained by PMing me, first, or talking to me on Skype. Skype Name: PM me and I'll tell you. I'm the fifteen-year-old New Zealander, who lives down in Tauranga, in the North Island. My favourite Transformers characters are Megatron and Starscream, but I couldn't tell you why. They're just hawt. Let's keep it at that. I've written stories such as The Road to Hell, Forbidden Fruit and Circean Cynosure. The thing I hate most about Transformers fanfiction? Hm... well, Mary Sues are a big one, but I'd have to say how all the stories are so similar and predictable. Seriously. You're not the first person to write a story about someone being turned into a robot via the AllSpark, or gained special powers from it. I like original stories, not ones that go on about how they made a wish and that magically somehow ended them up in a different realm. Another thing I hate, would be people changing the Canon Character's personalities. Megatron might be in love, but that doesn't mean he goes all soft and mushy and is willing to accept an alliance with the Autobots... if a character truly loved Megatron, they would love him for who he is, and wouldn't change him. I'd be the one who throws in the splash of humour into fics. I'm not a very deep person, so when things get too dark or personal, I normally chuck in a wise comment or sarcastic thought just to lighten things up. The best thing about being able to collaborate is that you don't have to just rely on yourself- you have someone else there for you to keep up inspiration and motivation, and it's nice to have new thoughts and ideas. But don't ever guess what is going to happen next in one of my fics, or at least don't tell me/put it in a review. Chances are I'd purposely alter the story, just to keep you on your toes. My favourite author? Would probably be Elexies. She has some good stories in there. We could all learn a thing or two from her. My biggest interest is psychology. Honestly, there is nothing more interesting than listening to information about mental conditions (split personality disorder, or even people considered insane)... I'd even take time out of my day, just to watch a documentary about Bedlam. It fascinates and intrigues me, the way people think and, resultingly, behave. I will actually think about my peers, and come to terms with why they do things and how their more annoying traits come about. For example, one person I know just talks way too much, thinks she's funny by being random, but is actually weird in a way that brings her down socially. This is out of her desire for acceptance and to fit in with other people, by being funny. If only she could recognize fake laughter. Another hates being teased, but her family is just "one of those." She takes it the wrong way, gets pissed, then goes to school and tries to find faults with me to do the same. Worse yet, she's actually a friend. I was molested by the son of a family friend, somewhere between the age of 4-6. My parents are divorced, my stepfather is a selfish prick, and actually drove my sister out of the house because he pissed her off so much... pity we can't dump him, because my mum was stupid enough to have a child with him, who is a spoilt brat and is completely and utterly accustomed to getting his way because of his dick of a daddy. I also know someone with MS (and she's only at the age of 18), who has a father with PSP, and he only has a week to live. I can't fall in love with my boyfriend who is practically infactuated with me, because I'm too emotionally detatched. Despite all this, we aren't cutters, and I certainly would NEVER consider suicide. The people who I do know that cut themselves and such? Their life isn't even that bad and they're just seeking attention. So. Think carefully. You think your life sucks? Things will always get worse before they get better, and it's up to you to turn your life around. MarySueDevourer's space. "Good" writing is not just the ability of chucking fancy words together and creating elaborate scenes. It's not due to a decent imagination, wonderful plot twists, realistic settings or even a vast knowledge of one's vocabulary. Certainly, these things all help, but to my mind it is not the sole cause of it. "Good" writing is being able to know the characters you're portraying; the ability to illustrate their relationships and how their personas bounce off other characters in the area. Do not question my preferred choice in author, for I shall give you none. Fanfiction is a difficult place to acheive this ability, for we cannot hope to know exactly how our Canon Characters are going to react in the situations we place them in. Luckily enough, I have bore witness to this at least once in a fanfic that I stumbled across, but take this as a hint; that fanfic did not include OCs. Using only Canon Characters, we already have their relationships structured out for us, therefore making it easier for us to comprehend and consider their reactions close to perfection. I have little to do with the fanfics born of this account. Rather, I am somewhat of a Beta Reader: I make suggestions regarding their style of writing or what should happen, point out errors, and offer my advice. Very rarely will I tamper with what they have created, but there are occasions where I read over and merge their two different fics (which follow the same plotline) into one. It can be a rather long and trying process, as you can imagine, so my request unto you as a reader is to be patient. It takes twice- maybe three times- the work for us to simply complete one chapter, as we must avoid clashing with one another and keep the paragraphs flowing. To those who are harried by impatience, I suggest you do not read our fics, as we will most likely stretch whatever patience you have to the limits. To those who have been a victim of my reviewing, you will know I am a harsh reviewer. I am hesitant to admit that grilling fanfics (particularly those of the Mary-Sue and horrible variety) is a favourite sport of mine; right up there with having arguments and stripping down the egos of self-proclaimed authors who think they are good enough not to get bad reviews. I don't back down from a fight: I never have. It is more fun for me than it probably is for them, but some people need it. Nevertheless, I am more willing to back off and make peace when they accept my review for what it is, and understand that their works are not worth defending. I may be harsh, but my opinions are unbias and fair. I do not purposely pick out fights. Updated: 1/01/2012 (New Zealand Time) |
