![]() I'm more of a reader than a writer. That's a sentence that sums me up basically. Reading is an avid hobby for me and has been for the past few years at the most. I couldn't stop reading when I discovered a wide variety of books, especially the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling. The way she entices her audience with such an unique universe amazes me. Her characters have deep, complex, wonderful personalities. Her plots are well developed and it leaves me wondering what will happen next. Since then I have broadened my horizon by reading books by different genre. Personally reading is what opens up your imagination beyond the realms of reality. I stumbled upon FanFiction.net by accident a couple of months ago. I was searching for Harry Potter fan fictions and a link directed me to this website. I enjoyed reading the stories others wrote. It wasn't until now I made a choice in becoming an official member. Apart from being a Harry Potter fan, I am more than willing to read anything. Genre, length, and ratings doesn't matter to me. Also I am prepared to read stories in any fandom, whether it is familair or unfamiliar. My main goal of this site is to expand my levels of reading. I am here to offer growing writers some advice, praise, and suggestions. Just think of me offering a helping hand to the writing community. Nothing will make me happy other than knowing my words will encourage others to achieve confidence and full potential in creating/writing their own fan fictions. Support is what a writer craves the most. I will show support in the reviews I give them. When it comes to reviewing a story I tend to divide it up into three clear parts: 1) Verdict. In other words I write a few sentences on whether I liked your story or not. Basically I will give my honest opinion based on my first impressions of reading. 2) Suggestions. This is a section where I offer suggestions and advice as to how you can improve your narrative piece. This is fairly straightforward process in which you are free to take my advice on board. 3) Other. It's where I can make general remarks that does not really fit in with the first two categories. It gives me the chance to be informal and show a friendly side to the author e.g. praising their works, asking what other stories they would like me to read of theirs, etc. Please send me a personal message if you want me to read something of yours. It could be something old. It could be something new. It could have plenty of reviews or it could have little to no reviews. I promise to review every thing that I do read. That is something that a few people do on here. I have no inclination to write and upload stories on FanFiction.net. It is not that I lack the confidence but overall I enjoy spending time on reading than I do on trying to form creative ideas for a story. I look forward to reading some interesting stories on here. I hope to be positive in my approach and perhaps make a couple of friends. :) - ZealousReader |
