 Author has written 18 stories for JAG, Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order: SVU, and Code Black. Currently Working On : A Fight to Remember... Off the Carousel... A new one-shot... and maybe... something else for my amazing fans. I try to write a little every day. It's not easy. I have to learn to put my phone away, turn the TV off... close my eyes to the disaster of my house. Sometimes I feel too hot, or too cold. Or my back hurts, or the chair isn't right. Sometimes I have to stop because I have somewhere to be, like visiting my dad in the hospital, or going to my second job. Sometimes, I'm too tired. Sometimes not tired enough. Writing... Writing well is hard. Half of it is in my head, and I'm thankful I work at a job where my mental energy isn't used up and I can dedicate part of my brain to ruminate on things. My first draft of every chapter is basically just word vomit. I'm just trying to get it down. Get it out. It's not pretty. There's little description, little explanation... lots of parentheses. (Insert_ here.) But... like Cristina Yang chasing surgery... I chase the high of a completed chapter that... feels right. Where things lock into place, and I'm writing out of that corner I wrote myself in. Where, the words... and the feeling take me somewhere. That's when I know it's ready for the reader. Greys Anatomy is very unique for me. TBH, it changed my life. My perception of things... I learned about love... and relationships... and striving. I can't really describe it, but there are very few shows that show such a progression of relationship that Meredith and Derek have, and I'm incredibly thankful to have that muse to stretch and pull and shape... all those moments and feelings and thoughts and events... into something as epic as A Fight to Remember. Or as bold as Save Me, or as mysterious as Off the Carousel. And all my other stories in different ways. I've been writing on this site forever, it seems... and I still have so many ideas that I want to put on here... I know that fans come and go. Fanfiction writing and reading is often just a phase... but I hope that you'll check in once in a while... you might be surprised at what's been posted. I still have a few stories in my head that I just don't have time to write on paper. For now, however... Enjoy! |
