This tale takes place at Downton on the final day of 1922 and goes hand in hand with the January 3rd journal entry in "Patient #9" that also details the life changing event that took place that day. This story, however, focuses on Mary Crawley's life that New Year's Eve as she learns just how strong the bond of love is and discovers that miracles can happen.

A month or so following S3's CS - **spoilers** - When Isobel walks to the Abbey one day, she sees a figure dressed in black cradling a baby swathed in white, sitting on a bench. As they cherish the baby so dear to both of them, they come to understand just how much they share.

**SPOILERS** for this year's Christmas Special - but not the *very* end. As Matthew arrives at the hospital eager to see his wife and child, Isobel takes him to them before bidding him goodbye for now.

"The first days of their honeymoon had been utterly blissful. Not quite perfect – but blissful, nonetheless, and on reflection they wouldn't have changed one thing." A short wondering on the first few days following their wedding - no spoilers.
