I grew up just about next door to a fire house. The firefighters were always glad to have us come and visit them. Many of them became family friends. My brother and sister and I would save our pennies and nickles to be able to stop by the station and get a 6-cent bottle of Coke from their machine. (Now that really dates me!) My husband was a volunteer firefighter for several years and now my granddaughter is a volunteer firefighter.

I remember watching the original Emergency! shows and was very disappointed when it was cancelled. I discovered Emergency! fanfiction about the same time as the first dvd's were released. After reading so many wonderful stories I thought I'd try some of my own. After spending three years teaching in Japan my husband and I returned to the States in June 2011. I'm now teaching middle school students in a small Christian school and loving every minute of it.

Primarily I have been writing Emergency! stories. I have thought about trying to write some stories about some of my other favorite older TV shows such as Combat!, Garrison's Gorillas, Rat Patrol, 12'Oclock High, Laramie, and Wagon Train. I've just completed a Garrison's Gorillas story and will be posting it soon. I am currently working on another Emergency! story as well as some other projects.
